Based on your description and what we can see in the video, this appears to be an issue we are already aware of. It is caused by the combination of GTK, GNOME, and Wayland.

The permanent solution is to migrate our GTK UI entirely to Avalonia. We are putting significant effort into this migration and expect it to be completed over the next few releases.

Since you are using Ubuntu 24.04, you should still have access to X11. Switching your entire session to X11 would be the easiest workaround for now. Please let us know whether this resolves the issue for you.

Thank you for reporting this issue. We are aware of some scaling issues and are working to fix them.

In the meantime, could you please try overriding the font and changing its size in the entry properties (SSH Shell > Terminal > Display > Font: Overwrite) or in the RDM settings (File > Settings > Session Types > Terminal > Terminal Font)?

We are currently migrating our GTK windows to Avalonia. The GDK scaling will only affect the windows that remain in GTK for now.

We added a setting called “Override Avalonia scaling” in Settings > User Interface > User Interface > Scaling.

This should help you manage scaling depending on the type of window. We are aware that there are currently some scaling bugs, even when changing these values. Resolving these issues is on our todo list, but feel free to report what you see in your case (Screenshots help a lot)

If I understand you correctly, it is already possible to arrange your session windows by dragging the embedded tab onto the arrows that appear while dragging.

In the latest version of RDM Linux (2026.1.1.1), could you please set the SSH verbose level to 2 in the "Logs" tab and send us the logs?

Also, in the "General" tab, is the "Use smart card" option checked? If so, could you please try again with it disabled and send us the logs with it turned off as well?
