Notice: Upcoming Let's Encrypt change impacting Android 7 and earlier

Beginning May 15, 2024, new certificates issued by Let's Encrypt will only be signed with a root certificate that is not included on Android 7 and earlier. Devolutions employs Let’s Encrypt certificates for its Devolutions account-related services, affected devices will show TLS connection errors. This change will not affect users on Android version 8 or later, since these versions trust the ISRG Root X1 certificate. (Bug) Vnc sessions doesnt open

Hello, i encounter a bug i encountered 3 months back aswell, it got fixed back then but it seems it is back in a later version. It is about the vnc sessions doesnt want to open & the button doesnt do anything either. Its about v2025.3.3.2 of rdm where this issue exists. Vnc sessions doesnt open

Hello, since i updated the app there is no open session button for the vnc ones. After i switch to the sessions tab and switch back the button comes back but it doesnt do anything. Any help to fix this issue is welcome.

Suggestions to reduce power usage.

We are testing RDM via mdm (intune) on 2 Samsung A11+ tablet) for use. The test users are connecting via VNC to a couple of remote locations to monitor some equipment. They are complaining about short battery life, and granted, the particular tablet isn't fantastic in that regard, it still should be better than they experience. We already use this tablet for another department, who uses it in the same way, but they do not use RDM. I was looking for any suggestions to help reduce the power usage in RDM if possible

Hi. I want to configure the Remote Desktop Manager app so that when I click on a text field in RDP, the keyboard automatically appears. Currently, to activate the keyboard, I must necessarily click on its icon. Any ideas? Ty

Touch input delay / input buffering

Hello, we are using a software application via RDP that includes an on-screen numeric keypad. When attempting to enter numbers quickly (e.g., typing “123”), the input becomes “333”. It looks as if the last touch position is being reused for multiple inputs. This behavior affects not only the keypad but all buttons in the software, although it is most noticeable on the keypad. If I pause for roughly half a second between taps, each number is recognized correctly. Entering numbers using the Android keyboard works instantly without any delay. The issue also does not occur when using Microsoft RDP, so it does not appear to be related to general latency. I have already tried adjusting the long-press delay (both higher and lower), but the problem persists. Could you advise on how to resolve this behavior? Thank you!

I installed version 2025.2.2.2 via Google Play and when connecting to any server, the following happens: a black screen and a blue stripe at the bottom. If I turn off landscape mode, everything works fine.

Keep RDP connection alive when switching between RDM and other apps

Hello, On Android after having connected to RDP host, sometimes I will open the Recents screen to switch to apps and then switch back to RDM. In this case, even if the process would take only 3-5 seconds, RDM will still freeze the desktop to reconnect to the host and may ask for login credentials again. Is there any option for me to keep the RDP connection alive when RDM is in background so that the workflow is not disrupted when I switch back and forth between apps? Thank you and Regards,

Android Physical Trackpad (2 finger scrolling)

Hi, I’m using Remote Desktop Manager on my Xiaomi Pad 7 and I’ve noticed two issues: Trackpad Scrolling I’m connecting my tablet with the Xiaomi Pad 7 Focus Keyboard (physical keyboard with trackpad). Overall, the trackpad works well, but the two-finger scrolling isn’t very smooth. Interestingly, when I use two-finger scrolling directly on the screen, it’s smooth and responsive. Windows Hotkeys I’m also facing an issue with Windows hotkeys. For example, I can’t use Alt + Tab to switch apps in Windows, because the shortcut is intercepted by the tablet itself. I read a support article suggesting that using the tablet in Workstation Mode (similar to Samsung DeX Mode) could solve this problem, but I’m not sure if I’ve missed an existing fix. Could you let me know if there are already solutions or settings I should adjust for these two issues? Thanks in advance for your help!

SOTI MDM Managed App Config

Hello, I´m trying to configure the Remote Desktop Manager app for Android in the SOTI Managed App Config. My purpose is to create a configuration and share it with our devices. I created a test configuration on one device, exported it as rdm and rdd file and copied it to another device. I assigned a Managed App Config in Soti and tried different variations in the field “Datasource 1”, but when I start the app I got the message “An error has occurred”. What steps are required to use the Managed App Config? The article at https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/kb/how-to-articles/mobile-device-management-configuration/?tab=android doesn´t help me. I can’t find the option mentioned there. Thank you very much for your help. [image]

Long Press Delay - Intune RDM App config

Hello, I am attempting to deploy rdm to a few devices for testing via Intune and I am running into an issue where in touchscreen mode or otherwise the clicks are being registered as a long press. Utilizing the unified long press delay setting, I have been able to alleviate the issue. I have used an app configuration profile in order to set the long press delay to 500ms, among other settings. The only setting I cannot get to apply is the unified long press delay. Can you verify that the key name is correct? If not, what should it be? I used the gui to select my config options, but since it doesn't work I looked into the JSON data. "key" : "unified_long_press_delay" , "valueInteger" : 500 The other unified settings have worked, so this is odd.

Is It Safe to Use Stag VPN with Remote Desktop Manager?

Hi everyone, I’ve started using Stag VPN on my Android and desktop devices to secure my internet activity, especially while managing remote sessions. However, I’m curious—could a VPN interfere with Remote Desktop Manager connectivity, or are there any known issues with performance or authentication when a VPN is active? Problem rdp connection

I have two phones, Samsung s23 ultra and Honor 200. On both phones I have installed remote desktop manager version 2025.2.0.17. Also, on both phones I have rdp connection to my desktop pc(win 10). This connection work on s23 ultra but doesn work on Honor 200. Do you hav any suggestion ?

Enabling HMAC-SHA1 for SSH session in RDM for Android

I'm trying to use RDM for Android for SSH access to network switches that have only HMAC-SHA1 for key exchange. App for android prompts for a database update

Hi, I install on my android phone latest version of de RDM app (2025.1.1.0) After type my main password the app prompts to update de database from a desktop version. I check my database from my laptop and I confirm that is the last database version, but my phone app still prompts for a database update. What's the problem and how can I solve it? Best regards.

Good afternoon, when you enable the "Connect in landscape orientation" option in the application, the mouse stops moving and large screen delays begin. As soon as I turn off this option, everything is fast and there are no problems.

Very Slow Scrolling in ARD sessions

Hello! I'm using my android tablet to connect to ARD sessions on my Apple Silicon Mac. When using touchscreen or touchpad mode, I'm facing very slow scrolling using the two finger gestures as well as the scroll wheel. The screen scrolls a few lines on each gesture and then stops. I searched the forum and saw other posts that said the scrolling speed must be changed on the remote Mac. I have tried to set this to the highest speed, however it did not make a difference in the scroll speed. As well, I tried changing the wheel scroll speed in the settings in RDM under Settings -> Sessions -> Unified Remote Connection Settings. However this again has not seemed to make a difference. Please let me know if there is an option or setting I have missed. Appreciate your support, thank you !

Slow scan

Hello, I'm scanning a barcode with a Honeywell CT40 on a RDP session, but caracters are shown slowly. If I use another RDP application, there is no latency without changing anything. Is there any settings I can change to accelerate the scan please ? For information, I'm using 2024.2.1.2 version, and Performance are on "WAN" in the "Experience" menu (I tried "Default"). Second RDP session - clipboard is not working

If I open more when one RDP sessions (to different hosts) - ony one session allow to share clipboard with android. Second session cannot use andoid clipboard, only local windows one.

Edit Clientname (hostname?) on RDP-connection

We're trying to use this to RDP with several devices, but the app we use on the other end needs a unique Clientname for each device using the application.Ive looked around to see if theres an option for this but i keep running around in circles and i cannot find useful info from googleing the issue because im not too sure im using the right terms here. However, when I check Task Manager > users > Client name it says "localhost" this is the client name id like to change. Anyone know if theres an option for this? Any help at all is greatly, greatly appreciated, and do let me know if you need more info and ill get back with as much as i can! Thanks in advance! Not Accepting sudo Password

I've been using RDM for a bit and recently when logged into my servers I try to enter the sudo password, it tells me the password is incorrect. This is the only app that I have this issue with. Other Android ssh apps and even the RDM Windows app works fine. I've tried resetting the Android app hoping it was just a hiccup, but that didn't make a difference. Anyone else come across this issue?
