Integrated Security on SQL Server data source doesn't work with RDM Mac 5.5.0.0

@everyone, The Integrated Security authentication method on SQL Server data source is broken in RDM Mac 5.5.0.0, because of a change made by Microsoft inside the framework Xamarin.Mac. We are waiting for a fix from their end. For more details on the issue, please consult https://github.com/mono/mono/issues/9028 As of now, the workaround would be to use database User to authenticate on the data source or rollback to RDM 5.4.0.0. This version can be downloaded here https://cdn.devolutions.net/download/Mac/Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager.Mac.5.4.0.0.dmg I will update this post later when we will get more information's about the situation. Best regards,

Keyboard layout missing apostrophes

I've been using RDM in MacOS for a few years now. For a few weeks now, it has stopped typing quotes and double-quotes in my RDP sessions, all of them. SSH sessions are OK. I haven't changed anything in my local and remote setups. Latest RDM, latest MacOS. I just tried the MS "Windows App" on MacOS and the keyboard works fine there. Any ideas??

Clipboard randomly stops working between macOS and RDP sessions

Hi, I'm having an issue with Remote Desktop Manager on macOS Tahoe. I'm currently using Remote Desktop Manager 2026.2.4.4 (latest and greatest) and when using the clipboard between my Mac and RDP sessions to different Windows hosts, the clipboard randomly stops working. This happens quite often. There are no errors or warnings. Copying something on my Mac and trying to paste it into the Windows RDP session simply stops doing anything. I found that I can get the clipboard working again by going into the RDP session and copying something from the Windows side first. After doing that, clipboard functionality is restored, and I can once again copy something on my Mac and paste it into the RDP session. So basically: Mac → Windows RDP: randomly stops working Copy something inside Windows RDP: restores it Mac → Windows RDP: works again Has anyone else run into this with macOS Tahoe, or is this a known issue?

Multiple browser login tabs opened with Entra ID authentication

Hi, First off, I have been off work for months, so I don't know when this problem was introduced. It was somewhere between February and now. We use an Azure SQL server with Active Direcoty Interactive (with MFA support). Works great. However, now when I start RDM, it opens up 7 tabs in my browser to login, where it normally is just 1. I believe I can just login with the first browser-tab to get RDM going, but I just click though them all just to be sure. After I have done this, everything works as expected. [image] I previously had version 2025.3.9.2 installed (no issues) Now I'm on 2026.2.4.1 MacOS 2026.5.2 and 2026.6 has the problem (have not tested with other versions)

[operation question] can RDM keep showing error screen instead of close it in a few seconds?

RDM MacOS: 2026.2.4.4 Hello, when SSH or RDP to a server, if there is login issue (due to no shell, no permission, server offline...etc), the error message to be showed and closed in a few seconds. Most of time, it's hard to read error message or capture screenshot. Is it possible to extend the time of showing errors to 30/60 seconds or not to quit the error screen? Regards, Eric

Unable to connect to host XXX Unknown error (0x0000001C)

I am currently evaluating RDM to replace what I am currently doing personally for Remote Desktop across Windows and Mac platforms and ultimately hoping to pitch it for use in my team as our RDP tool of choice, particularly as it syncs to the cloud (using Devolutions Hub), doesn't require any manual interactions when switching between the two. Basically whatever is setup on the one is available everywhere else... great stuff. I have setup five sites set of connections so far, doing this as I'm going allowing as there another three dozen or so sites needing to be migrated from my current RDP solution. The problem I'm having is that I've hit a situation on two of the sites where when trying to RDP on Windows it works as expected, but connecting on Mac (with the very same connection details in RDM) I receive the following message: Unable to connect to host someserver.somedomain.local Unknown error (0x0000001C) For comparison and as a check, on the same Mac when using another RDP tool for comparison (simply the Windows app) it connects without warning or issue. I have put everything on one of the connections back to defaults, tried numerous things like without NLA, changed it Warn me in the event of an authentication issue, tried quick connect to forgo the properties that I may have customised, etc., but am not making any headway in getting it to successfully connect. What could be the issue? How can I go about troubleshooting this? I would appreciate any guidance and assistance I can get in respect of this.

RDP on MacBook Pro (Silicon) using over 3GB of memory.

Hi, New macbook pro m4 pro and having only one RDP connection opened, but for 3days, RDM is using 3.5GB of ram. Connection is opened to a LAN PC, and not even focused on the tab (using it for OTP codes mostly). Closing the RDP session does not free up the ram. UI issues with RDM linux + Wayland

Hi Jacob, I am using RDM to remote a single Ubuntu desktop. You may know that Ubuntu stopped supporting X11 and uses Wayland going forward. Google's Gemini suggested that I should try RDM as it supports Wayland. Being new to RDM, I have only one local resource defined. I don't think that I have exceeded any maximum. I reinstalled RDM 2026.1.12.6 and you can see in the screen print it works flawlessly. Thank you for looking into the issue. [image]

SSH connection hangs with Unknown SSH message types 26, 120, 136 on macOS (ProtocolsSharp 2026.1.29.1)

**Summary** SSH connections hang silently after authentication when connecting to an OpenSSH 9.2p1 server (Debian 12 / Univention Corporate Server 5.2). The terminal opens but no output appears and the session is unresponsive. The following messages are logged: ``` Devolutions.ProtocolsSharp: 2026.1.29.1 OS: macOS Unknown SSH message type: 120 Unknown SSH message type: 136 Unknown SSH message type: 26 ``` **Environment** - RDM macOS, ProtocolsSharp 2026.1.29.1 - macOS (Apple Silicon) - Server: OpenSSH_9.2p1, OpenSSL 3.0.18 (Debian 12 / UCS 5.2) **Steps to Reproduce** 1. Create an SSH Shell entry targeting an OpenSSH 9.2p1 server on Debian 12 2. Connect using key-based authentication 3. Observe the above log messages — the session hangs with no prompt or output **Expected Behavior** Unknown message types should be handled gracefully (ignored or responded to with SSH_MSG_UNIMPLEMENTED per RFC 4253) and the connection should proceed normally. **Actual Behavior** The connection hangs indefinitely after authentication. No shell prompt is displayed. **Authentication Method** The issue occurs regardless of how the SSH key is provided: - Linking a vault SSH key entry directly to the session - Using the RDM SSH key agent Both authentication methods produce the exact same hang. Ideally I would like to use the SSH key agent workflow, but it is currently unusable due to this bug. **Additional Notes** - The same server, same SSH key, and same credentials work perfectly when connecting via iTerm2 (native macOS OpenSSH client) - The server configuration is entirely standard — no unusual extensions or custom sshd_config options - Message types 26 (KEX/algorithm negotiation range), 120 (channel-related range), and 136 (client protocols range) appear to be unrecognized by ProtocolsSharp - Since the server is OpenSSH 9.2p1 and does NOT support newer extensions like ObscureKeystrokeTiming (added in 9.5+), these message types are not being sent by the server — this suggests the issue may be on the client side within ProtocolsSharp itself **Workaround** Setting the SSH entry display mode to External (iTerm2) bypasses ProtocolsSharp entirely and works correctly.

Slow when opening a group of devices

I've noticed RDM can lag quite a bit when opening a selection of items. I've tried making Playlists for Opening a Selection of VNCs all at once, I get a spinning wheel for quite a while. Often times the RDM software will crash during this as well, but if it does open successfully it can take some time. I've experienced this with opening a selection of Web GUIs as well. It seems to open One Web Site at a time, waiting for one to open and load before going to the second.

Proxmox stuck in "Credential is required" loop on macOS

App Version: 2026.2.2.1 Hi team, I'm trying to set up a Proxmox entry (that I assume will) pull my lab's VMs and containers into my navigation tree, but I’m running into a configuration roadblock. I'm not actually entirely sure what the difference between a Proxmox and Proxmox dashboard entry are? When I fill out the host URL, select Ticket (or Token) as the authentication mode, and type my username and password directly into the inline fields, clicking Create throws a hard blocking popup saying: "Credential is required". [image] I notice that the full Proxmox panel has a dedicated Credential field at the very bottom that doesn't exist on the standard Proxmox dashboard entry (which works completely fine for me with just inline credentials). When I try to use that bottom Credential dropdown on the synchronizer card to satisfy the validation: Clicking the ... button opens up a completely empty Credentials list search modal. It doesn't show any of the entries currently sitting in my sidebar, even though I have verified username/password and token entries saved in my local workspace. [image] Am I structuring my credentials or inheritance paths wrong for this 'Proxmox' entry on macOS, or is there a trick to passing inline credentials to it without triggering that block? Thanks for any guidance!

Hello, Thank you for your patience. After discussing this with our development team, we've confirmed that you will need to create a Proxmox credential entry so it can be referenced in the Proxmox (Synchronizer) entry. Once the credential has been selected in the Credential field, you should be able to save the entry and use it as expected. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Best regards,

Keyboard shortcut to quick find and connect directly

Hello, I recently switched from a Windows PC to a Macbook and since then I have struggled to find a way to quickly find a connection and connect directly to it, without having to search the navigation pane and press Enter / double-click to connect. In Windows, I had a keyboard shortcut for the "Quick search" function, so all I had to do was press the preset key combination, type in the name of the connection, press Enter, and then it connected. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work the same way on my Macbook. I'm running RDM in version 2025.2.6.8. I was able to set my own key combinator for the "Find quickly" function and I am actually able to find a connection with it, but what it does after I press Enter is it just looks up the connection in the navigation pane, selects it and that's it. Could you please help me set it up so that I only press Enter and it connects directly to the found connection? Thank you very much in advance. Best regards, Tomas

Favorites dissapeared

I'm on the latest version (2026.2.1.2 on Mac and the latest available on my Windows system as well but I don't know what version it is exactly right now). Both systems are having the same issue, if I go into my Favorites folder, it's empty. I can see my the servers I've favorited in my main vault list, so I know they're in there, but I just can't see them in favorites (and removing/adding them to the favorites list doesn't make any difference). Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Home and End Key Keyboard Mappings do not work for local terminal connection to MAC

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro 32G with Sonoma 14.5 with a Macally external MAC keyboard I am using RDM 2024.1.8.6 I recently upgraded to Sonoma and it broke Karbiner Elements and my home/end key mappings no longer work. Meaning I am unable to press the home key to go to the beginning of the line or the end key to go to the end of the line. The only way I was able to home and end and shift/home shift/end it to work and correspond to CTRL-A (home) or CTRL-E (end) is to create /Users/bpatridge/Library/KeyBindings/DefaultKeyBinding.dict with {  "\UF729" = moveToBeginningOfLine:;          // home  "\UF72B" = moveToEndOfLine:;             // end  "^a" = moveToBeginningOfLine:;          // home  "^e" = moveToBeginningOfLine:;          // end  "$\UF729" = moveToBeginningOfParagraphAndModifySelection:; // shift-home  "$\UF72B" = moveToEndOfParagraphAndModifySelection:;    // shift-end  "^\UF729" = moveToBeginningOfDocument:;           // ctrl-home  "^\UF72B" = moveToEndOfDocument:;              // ctrl-end  "^$\UF729" = moveToBeginningOfDocumentAndModifySelection:; // ctrl-shift-home  "^$\UF72B" = moveToEndOfDocumentAndModifySelection:;    // ctrl-shift-end  "^\UF702" = moveWordLeft:;                 // ctrl-left  "^$\UF702" = moveWordLeftAndModifySelection:;        // ctrl-shift-left  "^\UF703" = moveWordRight:;                 // ctrl-right  "^$\UF703" = moveWordRightAndModifySelection:;       // ctrl-shift-right  "^\U7F" = deleteWordBackward:;               // ctrl-backspace  "^\UF728" = deleteWordForward:;               // ctrl-delete  "^/" = "noop:";                       // ctrl-slash stops beep } That works in my apps including iTerm2 and terminal natively /etc. However when I connect to the local mac by clicking on tools-->Terminal, or create an SSH Terminal to my local mac, the HOME and END key do not work. If when in the RDM ssh (iterm2) session I press CTRL+a it does move the cursor to home If when in the RDM ssh (iterm2) session I press CTRL+e it does move the cursor to end If I open iterm2 natively home and end key do work as expected. It works natively in terminal when I change the 'bash' keybindings to map the 'home' & end key to \033[H \033[F If I click on an RDM SSH session to a Linux system using the same settings of my local mac terminal, Home and End DO work. RDM Settings include: The default Terminal set to iTerm2 SSH Shell is BASH Home /End key mode: default (I have also tried standard) It seems like when I ssh to 'localhost' which connects to my local MacTerminal it is not using iTerm2 or Terminal?? If you have any ideas let me know. Thanks!

Batch edit does not apply “Use 1Password SSH Agent” setting

Hi, I’m using the latest version of Remote Desktop Manager for Mac (2026.1.10.3) and I’m currently trying to enable the “Use 1Password SSH Agent” option for all entries via batch edit. Unfortunately this doesn’t work. I can overwrite all other fields in batch mode, but the setting for the 1Password SSH Agent is never applied. When I edit the entries individually, the option works just fine. Is this issue specific to me, is it already known, or is there a workaround?

Major performance issues with RDM 2026.1.11.4 with macOS 26.4.1 on M5 MacBook Air

I recently purchased a MacBook Air M5 and am trying to get migrated over from a Windows machine. The entire time I've been using RDM on the Mac, it's had significant performance issues where the entire application hangs momentarily after navigating across the ribbon bar, opening/closing property windows, changing between property sections of a session, and even RDP sessions being jumpy and slowly responsive. I will note that I do NOT have these problems with Microsoft's Windows App or with Royal TSX. It seems to be something unique to RDM. And because it's not just RDP sessions that experience the slowness, I think there's something going on with the app itself and THAT is what's causing the issue with RDP. Running: RDM 2026.1.11.4 macOS Tahoe 26.4.1 MacBook Air M5, 15" 24GB RAM I have a screen recording I can provide as well that shows the performance issues I'm seeing as well as a comparison to Microsoft's Windows App.
