IP-List: More ways for group the view

Hello everyone, We’re already making extensive use of the dynamic IP list. While the list requires very little maintenance, we’d like to see a few more grouping and sorting options. Example: Grouping is currently limited to the folder structure. We have many devices that are located within the same folder but are on different subnets. It would be ideal if we could still have a view that shows all devices within each subnet. The benefit: This way, we can see which IP addresses are actually in use per subnet and don't have to keep searching for them. Thank you. Best regards, John

Automatically grant access to parent folders when giving access to a subfolder

Hello Devoltuions, I ran into a bit of an issue with permissions in RDM and wanted to suggest a possible improvement. At the moment, if you create a permission group and assign it to a subfolder, the user gets access to that folder, but not to the folders above it. For example: Customers -> Customer 1 -> Customer 2 -> Customer 3 If I assign a permission group to Customer 1, but the user doesn't have access to the Customers folder, the user won't actually see Customer 1, because they can't access the parent folder in the first place. This can complicate things when you have a lot of customers under one main folder. In our case, we have a general permission group that is inherited by all (around 80) customer folders, but when we also want to give a specific user access to only one particular customer, we can't (without much rework) because the view permission is set on customer and inherited by all customers. Due to that, just creating one new group for that specific customer doesn't help either, because as soon you give view permission on the main customer folder, it is inherited by all other customers. It would be nice if RDM could handle this automatically. My preferred solution would be that, when you grant a user/group access to a subfolder or entry, RDM automatically gives them the required access to the parent folders above it. So, for example, if I give someone access to: Customers → Customer 1 → Servers RDM would automatically give them enough access to Customers and Customer 1 to allow them to navigate to Servers, without giving them access to the other customers or subfolders/entries in a specific customer. Alternatively, there could be an option/checkbox when assigning the permission group, something like: [x] Grant access to parent folders I think automatically granting the required access to the parent folders makes the most sense, though. If I've explicitly given a user access to a subfolder or entry, but they can't actually see it because they don't have access to the folders above it, the permission doesn't really do anything. Maybe there is already a recommended way of handling this scenario in RDM and if so, i would love to hear it. BR Mauricio

Let an entry restrict which credentials appear in the credential prompt

Current behavior When an entry (or a Host template) uses Linked (vault) credentials pointed at a Password List or a folder, the prompt at launch shows every row/entry in that list. There is no way to narrow it per entry. Problem As an MSP I keep one Password List per client with every user's login. When I open a workstation I only ever want two options: that machine's end user and the shared admin account. Instead I get the full list of 20+ rows and have to scroll or type into the search box on every launch. The current workarounds (a sub-list or subfolder per machine, or a separate RDP entry per credential) multiply entries and defeat the point of centralizing the list. Request On any entry whose Credentials are Linked (vault) to a Password List or folder, add an optional "Allowed credentials" selector: a multi-select of the rows/entries in that list. At launch, the prompt shows only the selected rows. If exactly one is selected, connect without prompting. Nice-to-haves - Same selector on Host entries, so host-launched templates with Inherited credentials receive the filtered set. - Allow a shared entry (e.g. the admin account) to be pinned so it always appears first. Benefit One credential list per client, one entry per machine, two clicks to connect as either the user or the admin. No duplicated credentials, no per-machine folders. [image]

RDM. Downloads manager for embedded WebView2 sessions.

When using a website entry with the embedded WebView2 browser, provide a persistent downloads panel that lists each download’s URL, filename, status, bytes downloaded, failure reason, and offers retry or resume, open file, open folder, and clear completed. This would expose what WebView2 already tracks and make bulk downloads workable without relying on an external browser.

SFTP panel drag drop don't work - either way

Hello tech team, just installed RDM 2025.3.20.0 on WIndows 11 25H2, build 26200.6899. Using an SSH session, I open the SFTP panel, and I can't drag & drop to or from Windows Explorer. 1/ From Windows Explorer to SFTP : In the attached screenshot, see the cursor when hovering SFTP directories, when dropping in my own /home, nothing happens. 2/ From SFTP to Windows Explorer : the cursor don't even change, meaning the drag didn't start. Here is a screenshot when dragging from Windows Explorer to SFTP. [image]

Improve Reconnect Workflow

so i am looking at a connection, and windows has locked the session, i have to right click and find the 'reconnect' option. the icon turns green |> play button already, so you know that i am connected, how about if you allowed 'double-click' to do a 'reconnect'? this would improve strict systems that lock me out all the time

Show pop-up warning when server is already in use by other user

Implement a user-friendly pop-up warning when a server is accessed by another user through RDP. Provide options for the new user to either terminate the existing session or contact the active user before proceeding. This app's check-in/check-out feature is not what we need. [image]

Vault-level read-only permission for viewing configured group permissions

Currently, the "Configured permissions" tab on an entry or folder is only visible to users who have the "Edit permissions" right. Users without this right can only see their own effective rights under "My permissions." We would like to request a separate permission e.g. "View permissions" that would let a user or user group view the Configured permissions list. Use case: We want to give certain groups (vault admin groups) visibility into how access is currently configured (for auditing and documentation purposes) without giving them the ability to change any permission settings, which should remain restricted to administrators. Aim here is to give creater visibility to the current permission sets to vault admins directly. This would follow the same pattern already used elsewhere in RDM, where View and Edit are separate, independently assignable rights (e.g. View vs. Edit on entries).

more naming pattern in extract credentials

Hi, when using the option extract credentials the pattern for labeling are very limited it would be nice to have an option for custom pattern which can be set by myself or at least an added option for name pattern "entry name - user" right now i can only choose from "password list name - user". sometimes ther is no user, the entry name makes it unique/easy to figure out the purpose

[SSH Terminal] Add SFTP

Hi, would it be possible (or am I just not seeing it) to add the same SFTP-Server-Start option that exists in the "SFTP" Item to the "SSH Terminal" SFTP section to be able to use it for example for vCenter like mentioned in this request? https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/52585/how-to-get-sftp-working-with-vcenter SFTP: [image] SSH-TERMINAL: [image] SSH-Terminal-SFTP-Button to start the connection that I want to use: [image]

Show Check-Out Status inside Smart Folders in RDM

Hi everyone, We use Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) together with Devolutions Server and rely heavily on shortcuts within RDM. The background: for each customer we have linked VMs (jump hosts) that have all the necessary tools installed. On top of that, we make extensive use of the automatic check-out feature , so we can immediately see which jump hosts are already in use (occupied). This generally works very well. However, due to the growing number of customers and jump hosts, we now have a very large number of entries, which is starting to have a negative impact on performance . We've therefore been thinking about maintaining the VMs in only one central location in RDM and displaying them elsewhere using Smart Folders (or possibly something else that fits better). This works, but unfortunately the check-out status is not shown inside the Smart Folder (the red marking that indicates an entry is checked out, which for us means "occupied"). My questions: Would it be possible for future RDM versions to also display the check-out status within Smart Folders? Or are there better/alternative solutions to achieve this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Best regards

SSH - Hide Transfer Windows After Successful Transfers

Good morning. I think not just myself, but anyone who uses the Folder Transfers for SSH sessions would very much appreciate having the transfers window clear and hide automatically after xxx seconds, instead of just having them keep stacking up (especially when doing a lot of transfers and having to keep track of what is transferred each time). [image] Maybe we can add something here under the SFTP tab for "Clear & Hide Successful Transfers Time" in seconds? [image]

Power VM on Connect

Hi All, We had our server fleet running 24x7 in Azure so these were accessible but some of them very rarely used, so we're racking up quite a bill. So I started to transition these to an Azure Virtual Desktop host pool with a scaling plan that powers down the VM's when not in use and enabled Power On Connect so they will start up on a connection request. This works great when published natively but I cannot trigger this via RDM - support says this capability doesn't exist, so wondering if this is a feature we would look at enabling - like a pre-connect command, or setting up a managed identity that could be authorised for Power On Connect. Thanks, Dwayne

Display the Entry Name in the Edit Window

Hi, When opening an entry for editing via right-click → Properties or right-click → Edit, the large heading inside the edit window currently displays only: Edit - [Entry Type] The entry name is already displayed in the window title bar, where it appears as: Edit - [Entry Type] - [Entry Name] I think that it would be clearer and more consistent to also include the entry name in the large, bold heading inside the window. This would make it immediately clear which entry is being modified, especially since the large heading is much more prominent and easier to identify at a glance than the window title bar. Thanks! Is it possible to use the mouse wheel to scroll through tabs ?

Hi, would it be possible to allow to use mouse wheel to scroll tabs left and right ? Like in Notepad++ for instance. On this example: placing the mouse on 1 tab (without clicking) and scrolling the wheel Up would slide the tabs to the left, to access the first tabs. And moving the wheel Down would slide the tabs to the right, to access the tabs to the end. [image] Currently, when there are several tabs opened, it is not practical to access the first tabs, or the last. You could click on the little arrow at the right end, but the connections are sorted by name, so it is hard to identify recognize the order and find the first or last for instance. I know you can display the tabs on multiple rows, but then you lose a lot of space. Ideally, using the mouse wheel to slide to the left or right would be really helpful. Note: it would not switch to the previous or next tabs, it would only scroll the tabs list without changing the current connection. Thank you

u2f security key support for Keeper integration

Hi, as I have most of my passwords in Keeper I was excited to see that there is an integration between RDM and Keeper. However as my Keeper is secured using my U2F key (Yubico) I'd like to use that as well. There only seems to be support for using TOTP from Google Authenticator (or similar) Thanks.

CyberArk/Idira SIA integration with SSMS

Currently in RDM the CyberArk SIA connections are only supported for RDP and SSH sessions. Within our environment we are starting to use SIA for SSMS connections as well, and it would be great if RDM was capable of leveraging this as well

Support linked Credential objects for AWS Dashboard entries

Hi, I send this feature request as part of our ongoing evaluation of a potential migration to Devolutions Server, and the ability to manage credentials programmatically is an important aspect of this evaluation. I would like to request support for linking an AWS Dashboard entry to a separate Credential object, similar to how Web and RDP entries currently work. For Web and RDP entries, there is a Credential field in the Properties where I can select a separate Username/Password Credential object. The Credential object can also be manipulated through the REST API, which makes it possible to integrate credential management into external automation and workflows. However, the AWS Dashboard entry does not currently expose a Credential field or any option to reference a separate credential object. Instead, the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key have to be configured directly in the AWS Dashboard entry. I understand that AWS authentication is different from the generic Username/Password model. What would be particularly useful is having an AWS-specific Credential object (containing Access Key ID and Secret Access Key values) that could be linked to the AWS Dashboard entry and managed through the REST API. Ideally, the AWS Dashboard would support: A dedicated AWS Credential object containing the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key A Credential field in the AWS Dashboard entry to reference that object Management of that Credential object through the REST API The switch to REST API is especially important for our use case, as it would allow AWS credentials to be managed easily and faster rather than having to modify the AWS Dashboard entries using the PowerShell module. The support team confirmed that this functionality is currently not planned for upcoming releases and recommended submitting it here as a feature request. I believe this would be a valuable addition, particularly for environments where credential management needs to be integrated with external automation and API-based workflows. Thanks!

Different behavior of the prompt message

If a passcode is entered in the prompt message, the window behaves differently. The specified text will be highlighted. The window does not display everything at once, but has a scrollbar. No scrollbar for lines up to 5. There's no limit without a passcode. A scrollbar never appears here. Perhaps it would be possible to configure how many lines are needed before a scrollbar appears. Default 20 ? [image] [image] [image] [image]

Ip Address List - no subfolders grouping

Would be nice to have a way to sort the ip host list without any subfolders group. I use the dynamic search in conjuntion with the tag name search and i love it. If i try to order the results by Ip Address i cannot have a list ordered from first to last ip, i can get only partial lists for each folder where the tag name occurr. The goal would be to have a single list directly into RDM avoiding the manipulation in an external software like Excel. Thanks a lot.

Automated HTML Export of Passwords

Hello, We are currently managing our passwords using Devolutions Server. We would like to export an HTML file to another location as a backup in case our environment needs to be shut down, so that we still have access to our passwords. It would be very helpful if we could schedule a task to automatically export the passwords to an encrypted HTML file, protected with a specific password, and save it to a designated folder — similar to how the Backup Manager works. Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards, Matthis

Restore systray minimised RDM by clicking on pinned icon

This suggestion is one of those "nice to have" features. If the main interface of the app is minimised to system tray and there are no active RDM windows open, clicking on a pinned-to-the-taskbar icon for RDM should restore the main window from system tray. As it is, clicking the RDM pinned taskbar icon, while the main app is minimised to system tray, does nowt nothing.

SFTP Preserve Time in SSH Not Honored

Main settings has "yes" for Preserve timestamps when downloading/uploading, but it does not when using SFTP in the side-pane SFTP of an SSH session. I confirmed this for a new SSH entry created after having the SFTP preserver timestamp enabled (even though I would expect it to have worked regardless as an overall toggle). I do not see an option in the SSH config (even under SFTP) to toggle preserve timestamps there).
