Add Split Windows Hover Menu in MacOS like Windows Version

In the Windows Version of Remote Desktop Manager, there is a feature to drag a tab over the current RDM window and there will be a Center box and then a top/right/left/bottom arrows to indicate how to split the current window. This would be nice to have in the MacOS version too. Currently, the graphic is less intuitive and not as friendly feedback. Below is how the Windows image looks when the tab is hovered over the current window session. [image]

Shareable RDM Database

I work for a large tech company. I'd love to be able to share a single DB with my team internally. Is this something that can be accomplished? I wouldn't be able to store the DB on the devolutions account for this, it would need to be an internal thing. Licensing for such a feature would be expected.

Remember hidden-ribbon preference (Simplified/Classic/Show Tabs only) after restart

CLIENT REQUEST After switching from Classic view to Ribbon view and hiding the ribbon to save space, the ribbon reappears every time RDM is restarted, requiring it to be hidden again manually. It would help if RDM remembered the ribbon state (Simplified/Classic/Show Tabs only) across restarts instead of resetting it every time.

Long loading time when selecting a session via Secret Server

CLIENT REQUEST When RDM is connected to Secret Server, the window that lets you choose which session to open takes about 1 to 2 minutes to appear. A similar issue was previously identified and fixed on the Windows side in an earlier release, but we're seeing the same slowdown on RDM Mac (version 2026.1.8.7). Could the same performance improvement be brought to RDM Mac for session selection via Secret Server?

1Password SSO via Azure AD support for RDM Mac

CLIENT REQUEST We're enabling SSO for our 1Password account and found that RDM currently only supports this SSO flow in the beta build. Is there (or will there be) a macOS release outside of beta that supports 1Password SSO via Azure AD? Having this available in the stable channel would let us roll it out more broadly without asking users to run beta software.

When tabs are set to stay open on disconnects, have option to close when Log Off in Right-Click is set

I currently have RDP sessions configured in Remote Desktop Manager to keep tabs open after a disconnect, due to intermittent connectivity issues. This has been helpful in avoiding the need to constantly reopen sessions when network disruptions occur. However, it would be a valuable enhancement to differentiate between unintentional disconnects (e.g., network interruptions) and intentional user actions . Specifically, I’d like the option for tabs to automatically close when I manually initiate a disconnect or logoff. At the moment, even when I use actions such as: Close Close All Close All Other Tabs Log Off …the tab remains open due to the “keep open on disconnect” setting. Desired behavior: Tabs should remain open only when the disconnect is caused by an unexpected/network-related issue. Tabs should close automatically when the disconnect or logoff is explicitly initiated by the user. This would provide a more intuitive and efficient workflow when managing multiple RDP sessions.

Add local terminal connection entries from the local data source

I see the "Terminal" icon in the "Tools" toolbar but would it be possible to add the "Terminal" session in the same manner as all the other connections ? (Same way as Royal TSX does ?) I run multiple terminals with different environments on my mac, that way I could group them and open them up all at the same time.

add the option to use external terminal apps other than Terminal and iTerm2.

I use Warp which has excellent AI assistant features and I would like to use it to open an SSH connection from RDM. The current RDM AI assistant is not working for me.

Multi line on connection bar

Hi, On Windows RDM, users can see all their open sessions on multi line connection bar. However, on MAC version, It is not possible. Having single line with a limited number of connection tab sometimes confuses. I checked the settings of APP, but I coudnt find any option for this. Thanks BR Samet

Feature request: Add MCP Server support to Remote Desktop Manager for macOS

Remote Desktop Manager’s MCP Server support looks extremely valuable, but it currently appears to be Windows-only and is not planned for macOS. I would like to request that MCP Server support be added to the macOS version of Remote Desktop Manager. This is an important feature for teams using macOS as their primary workstation environment. MCP support would allow RDM to integrate much more naturally with modern AI-assisted workflows, automation tools, and agent-based productivity setups. Without macOS support, teams that rely on RDM across platforms cannot fully adopt these workflows, even if the feature exists on Windows. For organizations with mixed or Mac-heavy environments, this is not just a nice-to-have. It directly affects whether RDM can be used as the central connection and credential management tool in newer AI-enabled workflows. Having MCP Server support only on Windows creates a major platform gap. I understand this feature is not currently planned, so I would strongly encourage other macOS users who need this capability to vote for this request. More votes will help show that there is real demand from the community and that macOS support should be prioritized. Please consider adding MCP Server support to Remote Desktop Manager for macOS, ideally with a roadmap estimate or target release window. This would be a very meaningful addition for macOS users and would help keep the macOS version aligned with the capabilities available on Windows.

zoom in on documentation in rdm on macos

on other platforms this works like expected. (linux, windows, browser) ctrl+ scrollwheel or cmd + "+" should zoom in on the documentation. on macos it does nothing. (if that is not possible, can you make it possible to edit html documentations in the browser?)

screenshot functionality inside RDM for MacOS

screenshot functionality for the active open session should be a standard for any remote desktop solution. the majority of RDM applications available on the market include this standard feature and it is extremely useful for creating documentation. would also like to see the screen recording feature added to the MacOS version of RDM. screen recording is available for the Windows version, so why not Mac?

MDM managed configuration support

I'm in a highly regulated global industry with a very cautious security group. We need managed preferences via MDM for Remote Desktop Manager. In our case, we don't allow the use of any AI unless it's been pre-approved by our security group to prevent data loss (and potentially excessively large financial and criminal penalties). As our users don't have admin rights we could lock the .cfg file, but that would prohibit users from making normally acceptable changes.

Add “Type Username” and “Type Password” Options to Ribbon Under Action Menu

It would be helpful to add “Type Username” and “Type Password” options to the ribbon under the Action menu. Currently, only “Type Clipboard” is available. Adding these options would improve usability and streamline credential input workflows.

Obsidian sync or integration

Hi, Would you please consider adding sync or integration with Obsidian to the RDM's documentation section of each entry? It would be great to have some of the following: Auto creation of Obsidian folders and files if entry in the RDM has documentation, with the ability to define the root folder Adding Obsidian's note to entries individually Ability to have multiple notes for one entry Bidirectional sync of already created items Show contents of Obdisian note directly in the RDM documentation section Ability to open the Obsidian app from the RDM documentation page At least these three would be great to have as a start: Adding Obsidian's note to entries individually Show contents of Obdisian note directly in the RDM documentation section Bidirectional sync of already created items I believe some of it should not be a problem since Obsidian already has these available: Plugin support: https://obsidian.md/help/community-plugins Obsidian CLI: https://obsidian.md/help/cli App URI: https://obsidian.md/help/uri Obsidian Headless client: https://obsidian.md/help/headless "Local files first" approach The "file://" links to markdown files could solve it too, if the RDM shows its content and renders it as markdown, but they don't work now - RDM wants http:// or https:// only. This should also be OS/User agnostic, and file links/paths and the location of Obsidian folders are not. I've tried several entry types and options in RDM, and none of them seem to solve this. Or maybe I'm missing something? Thanks

Rollback feature built into Remote Desktop Manager

It would be nice if there was some sort of rollback feature for RDM. I'm on Mac and its not often but it does happen that an update cause my RDM to stop functioning properly. When this happens, I then have to stop everything I am doing for work and research what it takes to rollback from the version I went to back to the version I came from. Not to mention make sure I have licensing information and a back up of my connections, vaults, etc. Not complaining but happen to see the "Request Feature" button and thought I would add that to the list. Not sure if anyone had already mentioned it but this feature would sure come in handy. Thanks for listening. Hopefully this gets enough votes to get it put in.

Checkout settings on MacOS or Web

I had issues with the checkout option, receiving errors when two users were simultaneously connected. I just realized this configuration can only be done on Windows. Please extend the feature to macOS or, at least, to the Web.

RustDesk Integration for iOS and macOS

Currently, the Windows version already includes the RustDesk integration, allowing direct connections from Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) similar to TeamViewer . Unfortunately, this integration is only available on Windows at the moment. It would be extremely beneficial if the same RustDesk integration were also available on iOS and macOS . Since TeamViewer is supported across all platforms, adding RustDesk integration for iOS and macOS would greatly improve cross-platform usability, mobility, and administrative flexibility—especially for users who rely on Apple devices for remote support and management. Thank you for considering this enhancement.

Tailscale VPN entry for MacOS not available?

New RDM user here - glad to have found this support community! The RDM release notes Tailscale VPN can now be added as an entry to RDM since version 2025.2.30.0, and in my Windows RDM app, I can see the entry. However, in MacOS (v. 2025.3.6.7) it is absent. Is this feature only supported under Windows or am I just missing something very obvious here? Thanks to anyone that can enlighten me!

Proxmox console

Is the proxmox console not supported on RDM for Mac? After an hour of scratching my head trying to find out how I add it, I got a colleague (who is on Windows) to check it out, and was easily able to add it. Any ETA for availability on Mac?

Dvorak/Colemak Keyboard Layouts

Hello, Currently running RDM 2024.3.10.4 and all RDP sessions appear to override my system keymap(English - Dvorak) with the standard QWERTY keymap. There appears to be no way to send system keystrokes otherwise. The Windows client appears to support this. Please add official support for the non-standard English keymaps (Dvorak, Colemak, etc) Thank you!
