@David Hervieux Well?
2026.3.8.0 Sucks
The team made a mistake, owned up to it, and have released several versions since fixing issues as they were reported. Devolutions isn't the first company to release a bad update. They certainly won't be the last. The team was very active on the forum and open about the fact there were issues. They were quickly fixing issues and shipping releases. There aren't a lot of other enterprises applications where you can engage directly with the team and the CEO on a public forum.
@chaddb
They routinely, by the admission of everyone in this forum, make these mistakes. That's not acceptable in my opinion. The way they responded to it, was also not acceptable in my opinion. Saying that everyone makes these mistakes, so it's okay, to me, is validating the behavior. MSFT is a great case in point. They are so comically bad at updates its a running joke. That's been my point. Be better than MSFT.
@rdearman
I've been using RDM for probably 10 years. I can't think of another time something like this happened. Sorry you're upset with them. Maybe you should stop using their software it it's so upsetting.
@chaddb
I'm at a loss as to why everyone feels the need to dissuade me from my opinion of the handling of this issue or my own perceived problems with the software, which nobody really seems to be denying routinely exist, perhaps not to this degree. My first post explained why I used this software.

@David Hervieux Okay David, are you going to apply the same rules here? Or is this okay because he thinks you do a good job?

@rdearman , you’re right that we owe you more than an explanation. 2026.3 should not have shipped in that state, and I apologize to you and to everyone it disrupted. Your criticism of the product and of us is welcome here, as harsh as you want it to be.
What isn’t welcome is going after other members. RDMTinkerer shared their own experience, and they have the same right to it as you do to yours. Please keep the discussion about the software, not about the people in this thread. If personal attacks continue, I’ll have to suspend the account, in line with the forum rules that apply to everyone.
If you still have issues on 2026.3.17.0 or later, post them here and we’ll look at each one.
@David Hervieux
I acknowledge your belated apology. He publicly criticized 'my' opinion on this forum, I returned the favor. You didn't address him when he took issue with me. I wasn't profane, and I expressed my own displeasure with his critique of my opinion.

I am a paying user of RDM for a few years already. It has replaced many tools from my toolbelt, and added a lot of value!
I reported I think around 100 bugs through this forum and via private conversations, so they journey wasn't without some hiccups.
But the best thing is - RDM team fixed **all** issues I reported, and what's more - they implemented **all** my feature requests!
I am a big fan of Devolutions precisely for that very reason. I wish other companies listened to their customers that carefully.
There are still things they need to polish, but the software is great overall. A single interface to many session types, auto-typing for web, credentials (a.k.a. password manager but connected to session entries), documentation, history, custom session tools (e.g., Mikrotik), custom fields, macros, scripting, the amount of features is staggering.
Therefore I'm sorry @rdearman but I don't agree with you. This software is large for a reason. A bit slow UI, but that's being worked on.
It's a central tool for very sophisticated IT infrastructures.
A bit of patience goes a long way.
Keep the good work, RDM team! 11 out of 10!
@RDMTinkerer
I couldn't care less whether you agree or not. What are you, their publicist? They screw up a 100 things and because they eventually fixed it, that makes crappy development and user experience for paid software okay? Not on my dime. As far as I am concerned, people like you are the reason they act this way. You're part of the problem. If you're okay with poor development that's your decision, but you don't get to set my expectations for a company providing professional service. Sorry, I don't agree with you.

"Following up on my previous message, looking back at 2026.3, the root cause is clear to us: we were too ambitious." Uh, NO. Sorry. As developers and commercial entity, you were 'incompetent', and the paying customer base suffered for it. Not ONCE have you APOLOGIZED for the egregiously bad software you released into production, and your PR campaign to soften it doesn't impress me. Own your mistakes.

Just installed it, still major issues. Navigation tab doesn't work unless pinned, tabs coming off the bar for no reason, blah, blah. Why was this released to the public? I get tired of paying to beta test software. It's bad enough I pay MSFT to beta test their 'enterprise ready software'. At what point did it become acceptable to treat customers like this? People depend on this software to work. If I managed my networks like this, I'd be fired flat out, point blank. This is absurd.

I'm a corporate paid customer of RDP Manager, been using it for years. It's always been slow as molasses in Jan regardless of what I run it on, too many features, ridiculous update cadence, mediocre interface, not intuitive and generally just waaaay more complex than it has any need to be. Too much sugar for a nickle, as the saying goes. But for all of the flaws, it's pretty much the only real option, everything else being a much worse alternative. That's the best I can say about RDP Manager- it's better than MSFT's now defunct RDP manager. Everything about Windows seems to be a race to the bottom. But this latest 2026.3.8.0 is a new low. This is absolute garbage. This is BETA software at best, that we are paying for. If you can't do better than this, you need to fire your entire development team, and their management team, issue a public apology, and start over. For me to stop what I am doing to post this is a testament to how ridiculous this is. FIX YOUR SOFTWARE!!!! I'm tired of paying your devs to drink coffee!
