Bugs in new 8.9 beta

What version of the beta you used? Have you used the 32 or the 64 bit?

Could you call WinSCP in command line because RDM is only invoking the command line in external mode.

Good news, I was able to reproduce the duplicate entry bug with SQLite data source, now I simply need to fix the bug :-)

WinSCP does not terminate when invoked with the same command line. In RDM only after changing type to tabbed and then back to external. Maybe RDM ist terminating WinSCP?

What version of WinSCP do you use?

Indeed RDM could terminate WinSCP if it's not able to locate the WinSCP window.
What's your Windows version ?

Major improvement, I would say. WinSCP opens tabbed as promised, and doesn't "crash" (disappear).

The "Windows credential prompt shows twice (when activated)" bug still occurs.

It looks like I'll be able to give the new beta RDM a more thorough test now. The first impression is very positive. Less cluttered interface, etc. Looks really good.

Short feedback:

- SQLite bug fixed (as promised above)

- the ""Windows credential prompt shows twice (when activated)" bug still occurs - but only in the modern interface - not in the RDMv7 one.

I did the fix for the double Windows prompt but I've found an issue yesterday with the SQlite database. Perhaps this is related. Could you verify that when the next beta gets available?

I also found another issue during the weekend: on my home PC Winscp will not become tabbed. RDM times out after some time saying that it cannot find WinSCP (which is started fine).

This is the same WinSCP and the same RDM (running from a USB thumb drive - so it *really* is the same). On my desktop PC (also Windows 8 64-bit) the "tabbing" works almost instanteneously.

when initially starting RDM after Datasource-Config and switching in Offline-Mode it crashes ...
it should present an empty interface or prompt, that no sessions are available

dont know if its a bug or i misconfigured.

i created an entry "vmware Console", configured vcenter-server, opened first in browser to accept certificate, installed powercli. connecting to vcenter is working and it lists all vms running

but if i select a vm and click connect i get an error: VMware Player is not installed properly on this system and cannot function. ....

if installed latest vmrc from sdk & latest vmware player but it doesnt work.

is it a bug, problem due to vmware-api-change or is it me?

They've changed the command line interface of the vmware-vrmc.exe executable. Try installing a previous version.
