ALT+Tab to switch between tabs not working

ALT+Tab to switch between tabs not working

avatar

Hi

I can't get ALT+TAB to switch between RDM tabs. I found the post https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/4928/keyboard-shortcut-to-switch-between-tabs which suggest this should just work out of the box. I have redirection of keyboard shortcuts disabled on the connections and the "magnet" at the bottom right is enabled. ALT+TAB currently just switches between apps on my local computer but RDM is only listed as one app (instead of each tab). Active keyboard layout is Swiss German.

Am I missing some setting?

Thanks in advance (really like the product)

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

Could you please update your RDM to the latest version (2024.3.10.0)?

Let me know if this resolves the issue. If not, I will proceed with opening a case for further investigation.

Hello

I updated to 2024.3.10.0 but the behavior is still the same.

Should it work? Does it work for you?

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

If I understand correctly, you would like to switch between tabs using a keyboard shortcut in Remote Desktop Manager.

Please try using CTRL + SHIFT + RIGHT or CTRL + SHIFT + LEFT to switch between tabs.

Let me know if this helps.

Best regards,

Hello

So does ALT+TAB not work to switch tabs? Like it does on Microsoft Edge where each tab has its own entry?

Its not just inside RDM, I want to be able to switch from a specific remote session to, say a browser window and back to another specific remote session.

Thanks

Hello,

That’s correct! To switch tabs, you need to use CTRL + SHIFT + RIGHT/LEFT.

When you mention a browser window, are you referring to a browser outside of RDM and then returning to a specific remote session within RDM, or is everything happening inside RDM?
