Open multiple sessions simultaneously while keeping the focus on a specific tab

Request from a client from a case.
It would be beneficial if Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) could improve the handling of multiple simultaneous RDP connections. Currently, when users open several connections at once (e.g., 5 or more), the system takes control, requiring the user to wait until all connections are fully established before continuing with current tasks or opening new ones. This behavior causes delays and interrupts workflow. A more efficient approach would be to allow users to continue working while connections are established in the background.
we are posting the request on the forum to see if there is interest from our other customers or community members. This helps us prioritize requests.

I concur with this but it's not just when opening sessions, it's all over the product, just opening RDM causes it to constantly request focus so you can't open it up in the background and do anything else on your desktop without it dragging you back to it. It's so annoying.
I really hope Devolutions takes notice of this request.
+1, hope RDM can considering this.
Hello,
Thank you both for the feedback. This is something we would like to eventually do but it's not simple. Part of it has to do with the synchronous architecture RDM uses (for the original request of this thread), part of it is the UI framework we use (what you're asking when starting the application), and part of it is the way the backend is designed to work only with the current context (for other requests like allowing to edit entries without the window being modal).
We've been making progress on multiple fronts in our major releases but it's a long project and it's not possible to give an estimate on when we will reach those goals at the moment. I hope this gives you a bit more context: we're listening to feedback regarding this, but it's not something we're able to give a quick turnaround for.
Regards,
