Window / Popup behaviour in general
Hey,
it's tricky to find any threads regarding my problem. It's annoying that the main screen gets unusable if any kind of window is present. Doesn't matter if I want to edit a random
entry or change the overall settings, any additional window prevents interaction with open sessions in the main screen at all.
Is there a way to deactivate this behaviour?

Hello Nils,
This is the normal behavior of the application, but we are slowly working on getting certain windows to be non-modal (which is what blocks the interaction with the main window).
Is there a specific window that would be most beneficial to your workflow if it were non-modal?

Hey Hubert,
yes, properties would be a good starting point. I had to adjust some OTP settings recently, and it was no fun at all because of the need opening and closing the window all the time.

Thank you for the additional information, we will note this. Making the properties window non-modal has been mentioned multiple times over the years, so it's one of the windows we will prioritize for this improvement.

I hope the improvements includes the main application itself - there's another QoL thread I replied to explaining that RDM's instance on taking screen focus when starting is infuriating.
