Hi
We use WEBSITE / WEB Connection-types to save out Login a lot of websites ans shops. Many of them now needs a OTP, so we saved the OTP Codes in the WEB-Entry (under "One Time Password Settings (OTP)).
If a use "Show password" in RDM, i see the OTP Code for the login. Thats ok, but it will be very handy if the OTP's will shown directly in the Browser Plugin (DWL), in the best case with auto fill in.
I use for my personal passwords 1Password and that application is capable of this, is there any chance to see this feature on RDM / DWL too?
Best Regards
Markus
Hello Markus,
It is already possible for you to autofill an OTP with a Website/Web browser entry from RDM with the browser plugin.
Before you will need to search for the OTP field ID, this topic (method 2) will help you to locate it: https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_web_browser_web_authentication.html
When you have the ID you will need to save it in the entry. For a Website entry it is in the More Settings - One time password.
And for a Web Browser is is located in Login - Html Control ID - One time password ID.

Oh, okay.... i don't saw this. I'll try this. Thank you :)
But an option to show the OTP manually in the DWL like a password isn't aviable, right?
No worries, it is a pleasure to help :)
I was confirm by engineering that it would not be possible to get this option. You will need to go through RDM.

Hi!
I was looking for a way to generate the OTP code from DWL too. It's good to know it's possible to make auto-fill work, but I'd still like an option in DWL to view/copy the current OTP manually. Would you consider adding that feature? Right now you always have to open RDM or DVLS separately to get the OTP.
Also you then have to log in through DVLS Web or RDM again, even though there's already an authenticated session from DWL. The logins for DWL, RDM and DVLS all work though the browser on the same domain. They can access the same session. Why does one login not count for all three? It's the opposite of SSO and unnecessarily complicates things in my opinion.
Thank you!
Daniel
Hello Daniel,
I will consult our Engineering Department and see what can be done about this.
We will be in touch as quickly as possible.

Thank you!
Hello,
Our Engineering Department has informed me that the feature you are looking for will be available in DVLS 2023.1. Once this version is released, you will be able to view your OTP codes and copy them. As for RDM, we will see if it is possible to add the copy button as well.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
Thanks!
As for RDM, we will see if it is possible to add the copy button as well.
In RDM there's already "Copy One-Time-Password" and "View One-Time-Password" actions on entries that have OTP enabled
