Re-pin RDM icon to task bar with an app update

Every time I update RDM on all the computers we use it, the app is unpinned from the task bar. This is an issue unique to RDM. Isn't there a way for you to check first to see if it's pinned, and then pin it back once you're done? It's a small thing but really gets annoying with many computers, as there are often updates. I appreciate the rapid update cycle; you guys do a lot of great stuff in this app. Just want the upgrade process to be more convenient.

I did search for this in the forums and this link below came up in the search but the page is not reachable:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us about this!

A ticket on that matter has been assigned to our Engineering Department. I will be in touch as soon as we will have an update on this.
Also, thank you for your fantastic feedback! I will make sure to share it with the rest of the teams.

Best regards,

This was a big problem for a while (probably what the old post was referencing and I probably started the thread), but I haven't seen the behavior lately. Just FYI.

Hi Lowell,
about the broken url....
apparently in the past, we supported forum.devolutions.net followed by the word forum and the query params... (forum.devolutions.net/forum/topic27927-.....aspx)
As an effect, Google sometimes indexed some url with this alternate url...

I've log a ticket to fix the redirection and currently working on a fix!

In the meantime, you can remove the forum part from the url to get it working correctly!

Thanks again for pointing that out!

Ok,
I have a good news. This problem was a nightmare (I personally worked a lot to find a solution without success) for me and I thought that we had to change completely our installation tools to fix it. But Richard, one of our senior developer finally found a solution and this should be fixed for the next update.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Great to hear!

I think it is always the best solution to use Tools witch get things right out of the box.
