Hello!
I am a new user to Remote Desktop Manager, coming from another product I have used for many years, and I have to say this looks really good.
However, I am trying to setup quite a few management web pages as well through RDM, and I am having problems getting auto-fill to work. There might be a basic thing I have overlooked, but is there another trick to it other than choosing Form, adding user/password, and then make sure auto-fill and auto-submit is enabled? I have also tried adding extension to Chrome (testing with Chrome engine first) but with no luck.
I saw another post about vSphere 6.5 HTML5 client which is one of the management pages I am trying to add;
https://forum.devolutions.net/topic28525-vmware-vsphere--html-client-auto-submit-doesnt-work.aspx
It might explain it, but I also have other pages where also nothing happens.
Any input or tips will be most welcome.
Tom
Hello,
We have just put up a presentation in our online help, it describes the same process that is used by our support team to reason out the proper settings.
Web Browser (HTTP/HTTPS)
Sadly, a few recent web development toolkits start loading parts of the web page even after the signal that the page is fully loaded by the browser, we are working on improving our success rate for those.
If the process is not succesful, you can always send us the URL of a public site, or the source of a private one, and we'll do our best to recommend a strategy.
That's what I would recommend we try for the vSphere html5 client. Please capture the source and send it at support@devolutions.net
Best regards,
Maurice
Hello.
Thanks for the tip, I did the guide you've posted, and it helped on ONE target, but for all others I get the following message:
"Web page analysis completed - unable to find the Html controls (username or password)
Not sure how to capture the source of the different management pages, if you show me a guide for it, I can surely try to sort it.
Hi Tom,
If the web site is a public web site, you could just send us the URL Link, or if it's a private site:
1. Open the web page in Chrome browser
2. Right click in the Login field and select Inspect, it will automatically open the Elements tab. take a print screen of the information
3. Do it another time for the Password field.
4. Please send us both print screens at support@devolutions.net
Best regards,
