Which Solarwinds product do you have in mind?

They have a great network monitoring software that is configured via SNMP. It allows you to view all devices and configure different devices into different groups/locations/customers. We would like to be able to import this SQL DB into the RDM SQL DB and keep them Synced.

Do you know if they have an API to access the data? I prefer not to access the database directly.

Many people have made open sourced API's and SW offers guidelines but, they dont offer one directly.

I'm sorry, i may have been incorrect. i found another user on the THWACK that indicates its in the SDK. I'm not the most familiar with SQL and the backed programming. Hope this helps

Has any progress been made on RDM / SolarWinds integration yet? My company has a need for this as well.

We would also like to have solarwinds and RDM integration. Especially if we can pull in additional solarwinds inventory information like IP and MAC address of monitored nodes.

Interested in this as well as become more integrated into the RDM and we start using Solarwinds Orion to monitor all our environments.

We have opened a ticket to integrate Solarwinds Orion in RDM. We also already have a ticket to integrate Solarwinds TakeControl.
I can't give you an estimate on when we will be able to integrate them within RDM, but we'll let you know once we start work on it.
