We use the auto filling feature for Web Browser sessions quite heavily in Remote Desktop Manager. This was working fine until about a month ago, when it suddenly stopped working in version 8. I assumed that there was some update to IE which stopped JavaScript injection or something, and that version 9 might have a fix for this. However we've just updated to 9.0.8.0 and it's still broken.
We're running an older version of IE due to certain enterprise software, so I've attached a screenshot of the version screen.
Do you guys have any idea why this might be happening?

Could you try to use the Default button? Make sure to change the IE emulation mode to IE9 in File->Options
David Hervieux
I tried both of those. The Default settings didn't work, even though the username and password fields are called "User" and "Password" in the only form on the page.
It sometimes manages to detect the fields when I click "Detect", however mostly it doesn't. Sometimes it paradoxically gives me a success and failure message box. Though usually this means it detected the things correctly.
However, it still doesn't auto fill the forms.
Could you try with an url that I know it works:
http://forum.devolutions.net
David Hervieux
That seems to work.
Which would suggest that it's our website, however that site hasn't changed as far as we know.
Could you send me the url so I can verify it?
David Hervieux
Unfortunately it's an internal link.
Could you send me a view-source?
Send it to dhervieux at devolutions.net

Done.
hi!
i just wanted to mention that i also got this "error" (when we used RDM 6.5.1.0) on some sites .. but i then just looked into the source of the page and entered the id of the corresponding fields manually ...

Hi Guenther, yeah I did that too. But unfortunately it didn't solve the issue of it auto-filling the fields when I launch the session.
oh .. i didn't get that ...
