I am having trouble with Credentials used for Tools (like Services or Computermanagement - on the rop right of the dashboard-view).
I created a Host-Entry for a Windows 7 Client-PC.
Then I tried all the settings under “Tools/Options”. But whenever I click for example “Services” I get “Access Denied” all the time.
It works just fine, when I open services.msc with admin-credentials manually and connect to the client-pc.
It works as well with user-defined Tools and Scripts.
For your information:
I use RDM in the context of my “normal” user-account (non-domain-admin).
For all connections in RDM I use a Repistory-Entry where my domain-admin-credentials are stored.
I updated this morning to Version 9.0.7.0 and after this, it worked for a short time.
But right now it stopped working again, and I cannot figure out why.
You can enter your Administrator credentials in the Tools tab page of the host entry. RDM will use it to open the Services.
Windows is handling the authentication and it's possible that it has worked because of the Windows credential cache.

Yes. I tried all the settings in the Tools-Tab.
I even checked "Always ask for credentials". And it sure does ask for credentials when I click on "Services". I enter my admin-credentials and ..."access denied".
When i open up windows-task-manager, I can see that "services.msc" is started with my normal user-credentials.
Same Issue is discussed here: http://forum.devolutions.net/topic8394-tools-gt-credentials-not-working.aspx
This Thread can be closed. I will keep posting in that other Thread.
Have you tried to execute RDM with the elevated privilege?
