David,

When can we expect a new SDK version?

Cheers!

Hi,
I will begin to work on the new SDK after the final release of this version. We have a long list of new stuff for the SDK and I will begin to work on it very soon. We also have an add-on manager in development already.

Just purchased Enterprise and LOVE IT!

Can you move Credential Repository option to the General TAB? Seems it should go with the rest of the credential options.

Do you have a link to good info for the Sub Connections? I don't quite understand them. Examples of how and where it would be used would be preferable.

Also, when I do a batch edit, does it redo everything in each Tab, or just what I change? It seems it's changing everything. That means that every time I batch edit, I would have to edit each and every item on every TAB. It would be nice to have a setup like Server 2003 and up do where you use a checkbox to mark what you actually want to change. You have that partially implemented on the General TAB with the "Edit Logon settings in batch" option. Put a checkbox next to every item and ONLY those items that were checked would be changed.

If I have misunderstood how the Batch Edit works, please let me know.

Thanks!!!! Love your product!

Hi,
Thank you for your comments, I agree with you. I will see what I can do. You understand well the behavior of the batch edit, I will try to split the properties in more sections.

For the subconnection, there is a topic about that in the online help: http://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/

You can create a main session, and use variable in subconnection to link them. For example $PARENT_HOST$ or $PARENT_NAME$

Thank you for your feedback.

RDM 5.8.3.16 worked fine but 5.8.3.19 does not work correctly with PutTY GSSAPI. Under 5.8.3.16 I was not prompted for a password, but under 5.8.3.19 I am. I haven't tried 5.8.3.17/18, but went back to 5.8.3.16 and am not prompted.

avatar

Hi,
It's weird, what is the GSSAPI ? Do you have this problem in external or embedded mode (or both) ?

The update link shows 3.8.5.20, but it actually still is 3.8.5.18. Could you correct the link?

avatar

Hi,
It's a known issue, I updated the download binaries, but not the web site. Thank you

i think what klages meant is that the url in your post from "11/10/2010 5:31:57 PM" says "etup.RemoteDesktopManager.5.8.3.20.exe" but the link itself (the html-href) directs to version 5.8.3.18

Hi David,

The new version 20 gives an error on my license (Sorry, your license is valid for an older version......).
Could you please fix that?

Thanks!
Sander

-edit- FYI: I've got an enterprise license

Hi,
Thank you, I fixed the the url, sorry I miss understood.

@Sander, with RDM, you have a one year of free upgrade and you got this message because the free period is over (you bought it on 8/25/09) . Unfortunately you will have to buy an update. Sorry about that.
