V9 ScreenConnect Error

avatar

I haven't been able to open any ScreenConnect sessions from RDM since the upgrade. The application log shows the following:
[10/11/2013 7:39:22 AM]ERROR SILENT System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (417) Expectation Failed.
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
at Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager.Business.Helpers.ScreenConnect.ScreenConnectHelper.PerformFBALogon(Uri uri, String location, String username, String password)
at Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager.Business.Helpers.ScreenConnect.ScreenConnectHelper.ConnectServer(String url, String username, String password)
We are running version 4.0.5422.5025 on the server. Please let me know if there is any other information you may need to help track down the issue.
Thanks!

Since the RDM or Screen connect upgrade?

Does it work if you try it with the v8.4?

Since the RDM update. I can try an earlier version tonight maybe and see if the problem persists and let you know.

Hi,
Have you resolved your issue ?
I just finished testing last ScreenConnect version 4.0.5454.5032 with RDM 9.0.1.0 and it seems to work flawlessly.

I appologize I have left this sit for so long... hate when that thing called 'work' gets in the way of things :)

We have just installed the very latest ScreenConnect version on our server and I am running RDM 9.0.4.0 but still can't open a ScreenConnect session. Here is what I am getting in my logs:

[11/6/2013 8:48:07 AM]ERROR SILENT System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (417) Expectation Failed.
at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
at Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager.Business.Helpers.ScreenConnect.ScreenConnectHelper.PerformFBALogon(Uri uri, String location, String username, String password)
at Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager.Business.Helpers.ScreenConnect.ScreenConnectHelper.ConnectServer(String url, String username, String password)

Hope that helps.

Hi,
With our latest version I'm not longer able to reproduce your issue.
At which step it happens ? While editing the session or opening it ?
Is it possible to send me a print screen of your session configuration ?

This happens when I try and open an existing connection. However I just tried to edit a connection and even create a new connection and when you try to drop down the list of sessions it gives you the error as shown in the screenshot.

I thought maybe I had forgotten that i changed my password but I logged out of SC and logged back in with the same credentials I have supplied here and that wasn't the issue.

Hi,

According to the error code I added a fix in the application to avoid that error.
But I'm not able to test it. I hope that will solve your issue.
This fix should be in the next release or I will help you to retrieve it.

Best regards,

André Sanscartier

I would be happy to test the fix if it's available, if not I don't mind waiting until the next release.
