G'day,
I'm running RDM 2026.2.9.0 64-bit (PreJIT) on Windows 11 25H2 and experiencing a number of issues with the native SFTP.

The issues have all been mentioned on the forums but never fixed (end users not replying and conversation goes dead).
This conversation appears to be the most recent and most productive, but no resolution.

When I drag and drop from remote to local within the SFTP window panes, its not copying everything if there's folders with contents. It'll copy to the first folder, then stop copying after the first file in the folder. Other items in the top level next to the folder won't copy if they come after the folder and not all the contents of the folder copies.

It also has an issue with copying items that were previously copied again and pasting them instead of and/or with the new selection.

I also have an issue of it sometimes not copying anything over.

Last one is that the windows don't automatically refresh when folders are copied. I have to hit refresh after copying anything with a folder over to see if it has copied over.

I'll be upfront: I don't have a confirmed fix to point you to for this exact combination of behaviors, and I don't want to send you back to a forum thread that's already gone cold. So let's try to get this properly tracked and reproduced instead.

A few things that would help narrow this down:

  1. The forum thread link — could you share the specific conversation you referenced? I want to review what was already discussed and check whether anything was addressed since, rather than have you repeat information that's already on record.
  2. Confirm whether these four issues happen independently or together: the incomplete recursive folder copy, the "pastes previous selection" behavior, the silent copy failures, and the missing auto-refresh. Knowing if they're linked or separate helps us figure out if this is one root cause or several.
  3. There's been a fairly significant rework of the file explorer components (SFTP/FTP/SCP panes) in recent RDM releases. Since you're on 2026.2.9.0, could you test on the latest available version to see if any of this behavior has changed? Even a partial improvement would help narrow down which of the four symptoms are still open.


Once we have that, I'll make sure this gets opened as a proper internal ticket with all four symptoms documented together, rather than risk it going quiet again like the forum thread.
