Dealing with 'old' connection issues with the Web address interface

avatar

Posting on behalf of jonatankersley, they ask:

Has anyone worked through dealing with 'old' connection issues with the Web address interface, specifically when dealing with iLO, iLOM, iDRAC, IBM/Lenovo BMC, etc.?

'Your connection isn't private' - need to select Advanced
This server couldn't prove.... - need to select 'Continue to IP.ADD.RE.SS (unsafe).
Finally the web page shows with one format or another depending on the version of the underlying iLO/iLOM/IDRAC/...

Best regards,

Vincent Forest

Hi jonatankersley,

Yes, in the entry properties for your Web Browser, go to Settings and enable Ignore Certificate Errors. That bypasses the interstitial entirely and takes you straight to the management UI, regardless of which BMC flavor you're connecting to.
Also worth noting: RDM has dedicated entry types for Dell iDRAC and HPE iLO if you're not already using them.

What version of RDM are you running?

Best regards,
