When I rename a folder in the Favorites tab located inside Navigation, it works. If I am using the separate Favorites panel (the one located under Ribbon > Window > Panels > Favorites), then renaming a folder does not work.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter.
Could you please let me know which RDM version you are using and what type of data source you have configured? I am currently using version 2025.3.32.0 with a local data source, and everything is working properly on my end.
I would like to confirm whether we are working in the same environment. If you are not using the latest RDM version, please update to the most recent release and let me know if the issue persists.
Best regards,
Tommy Sanders

I'm on 2025.3.32.0 as well. Data source is Devolutions Server. I've confirmed with several colleagues they also have this issue.
Hello,
Thank you for your response.
I tested this in DVLS and was unable to reproduce the issue. Could you please confirm which DVLS version you are using? Additionally, could you share a screenshot showing exactly where you are navigating to rename the folder?
Best regards,
Tommy Sanders

Hello,
Would it be possible for you to create a portable installation of the latest version of RDM and see if this issue still occurs? To do so, you will need to do the following:
1- Download the .zip file below:
https://devolutions.net/de/remote-desktop-manager/download/thank-you/?platform=RDMbin&edition=team&os=windows
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go to this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanager.exe
5- Connect to your data source
Best regards,
Tommy Sanders
