Hi,
when i open a web console for each VM in vSphere, they are opened as docked tabs. how can I undock them? Maybe I am failing to see an obvious button here ๐Ÿคจ

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

At the moment, we do not have a dedicated vSphere entry type configured for this scenario. Additionally, since the undock option is greyed out in the entry properties, it is likely intentional and not currently supported for vSphere web console sessions.

There is usually a technical reason why certain embedded web consoles cannot be undocked, which may be related to how the session is rendered within Remote Desktop Manager.

If you would like, I can submit your forum post as a feature request to our product team for review and consideration.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Best regards,

Carl Marien

Hello,

Thank you for your confirmation.

I have transferred your forum post to a feature request so it can be reviewed and considered for a future improvement regarding the ability to undock vSphere web console sessions.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, as it helps us improve Remote Desktop Manager.

If there are any updates from our side, we will make sure to keep the thread informed.

Best regards,

Hello,

Just to clarify the reason this is not available, it's because individual tabs in website-based entries use a control that is not currently undockable. We would have to change the control to allow for this and it would come with its additional challenges in our architecture. Not impossible, but more of a challenge than you'd think.
We'll open a ticket to see about supporting this, and monitor this thread for additional feedback to help us prioritize this.

Regards,
