I'm afraid I don't have much good news here. Microsoft has not ever exposed the functionality needed for third parties to integrate with AVD. We have some workarounds in place that might provide a partial solution - your mileage may vary, it works "ok" for some users but unfortunately it's the best we are able to provide with what Microsoft has given.

Please note the important detail that Microsoft RDC needs to be installed by its .msi, not from the Windows Store. This is itself becoming a blocker as Microsoft has started to deprecate the .msi installer for it's RDC client.
