RDP > Advanced tab > Auto Log off -- May lock account if session at login prompt
How to reproduce:
Configure each RDP server to use the Advanced > Automatically log off when disconnecting = YES
Open 4 server RDP sessions using the same network account
Allow the session to lock itself which will prompt the user for their password (Win+L should do the same thing)
Close Remote Desktop Manager (RDM)
The result is that RDM will attempt to logout by pushing keys into the keyboard hook -- but those keys are entered into the password field which causes an invalid login attempt. The window then closes.
The next RDP session repeats this... and the next... and the next... until the domain account gets locked due to multiple incorrect login attempts.
I am using RDM v2025.2.20.0
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out.
Could you please let me know which data source you are using? I’d like to reproduce the issue on my end and ensure that I’m working in the same environment as you.
Best regards,
Tommy Sanders
Hello,
Would you be able to confirm which Logoff mode you are using for the entries? Are you using the Remote Desktop Services option?
Let me know,
Best regards,
