Tabgroup focuses on first tab instead of last opened or last used

I understand the issue. Have you already tried unchecking both "Autofocus tab on item select" and "Auto select item on tab focus" under File > Settings > User Interface > Tree View?

With these options disabled, the focus should no longer switch automatically.

I tried doing that. But still every time i switch between tab groups, it focuses on first tab.

I am pretty sure this was working before. I am using the tab group features (a lot!!) for the last 2 years and never faced this. Every time I switch to a new tab group, it takes me to a random tab and I have to switch to the tab which I was working before. It is really frustrating!!.

This is definitely a regression or some setting which got changed in the recent upgrades.

You're right—I compared the two versions, and previously, the focus on the tab group did remember which tab had focus when the group was selected. Nice catch! I’ll submit a regression ticket internally for the developers to investigate.

I'm not sure if It's the standard way to downgrade officially with our support team, but I'll give you mine as I do it often this way as a Quality assurance tester.

Simply uninstall RDM and re-install the following working version, https://cdn.devolutions.net/download/Setup.RemoteDesktopManager.2024.3.31.0.exe

Your configuration should stay the same. You shouldn't notice a difference.

We'll give you news when the fix will be available.

We've applied a fix on how the tab group feature works. It should remember the last selected tab.You can expect this with the next 2025.1.38
