Tabbed sessions open in seperate windows if program is closed

Confirmed that this does not happen on 2024.2.19.0. This is a new issue introduced in 2024.2.20.0.

Could you please create a portable installation of the latest version of Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) to see if this issue still occurs? Here are the steps to follow:

1. Download the .zip file from the link below:
2. Download RDM Portable
3. Create a new folder on your Desktop.
4. Extract the contents of the .zip file into the folder you created in step 2.
5. Navigate to this folder once the .zip file has been extracted, and run remotedesktopmanager.exe.
6. Connect to your data source.

This process will help us determine if the issue is related to your RDM settings.

In the meantime, could you please let me know what your data source is? I'll attempt to reproduce the issue on my end as well.

On the portable version, I do not have the option under the actions area to open an embedded/tabbed session. Maybe there is a setting I have enabled to show this?

My installed version:

I uninstalled the current version and installed 2024.2.19.0. I tested again and the problem still happened. I then deleted the saved entry and recreated it, the problem no longer occurred. I then upgraded to the latest version again and it's still working fine. I then tried this with another saved entry and the problem is happening. Does this mean there is a problem with all my entries and I have to recreate all 279 of them?
