Hi .. I have a lot of my 'credentials' stored in 1Password, rather than in RDM credential database entries.
It is quite common that when I connect to a VPN, after the connection I get the error "Unable to retrieve 1Password credentials" from RDM.
If I wait it out (sometimes up to 10 mins), it finally is happy and gets the credential entry correct.
Generally, I just close RDM and re-open it and that seems to make it happy.
I've tested 1Password during this time (in between tries on RDM sessions) and it reports back the database fine.
Is there some sort of cached link or cached item that is getting skewed when the VPN connects, and then it takes a timeout before it re-updates ?

Hello Ivan,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,
I'm also wondering if you encounter this issue when attempting to open specific session types? If you perform a "View Password" directly on your 1Password entry does it work as expected?
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Hi .. the version in question (that I am seeing it on right now) is an older build, I will try to get it updated soon; see if that fixes it.
This has happened in the past, but .. again .. I can't be sure with this system till I get it updated. Will update when it is done and if the problem persists.
The data source is SQLite, moved from XML a while ago (when things stopped working).
I tried the 'View Password' option on the Credential Entry, same error message and nothing is displayed.
Shutdown and re-open RDM .. all works fine, which makes me wonder if there is a cache somewhere; with the VPN causing that to not work.
Hi IvanMarshall,
I just want to make a follow up with you,
Did you have time to update your RDM and see if the issue still persists?
It might be a caching issue, I'll keep it in mind. but let's try upgrading first.
Please let us know,
Best regards,
