BeyondTrust Password Safe - Credential manager?

For BeyondTrust Password Safe, it's possible to retrieve a user credential via the API. It would be nice to be able to fetch credentials from PWsafe for use with all sorts of objects and entries.

Hello,

Thank you for the request. We think it would be a good idea and we have opened a ticket. We will try to add this for RDM 2023.3.

Hi Olivier, I tried to follow the following article for "BeyondTrust configuration", but I can't match up the steps in the document against my current version 2024.1.19.0. Any advise? Thanks.

@fanllawf, which parts are not matching up for you? It works great for me.

@Oliver, any chance we could get it working on Linux and Mac releases? :D

Hello,

BeyondTrust Safe password as a credential manager for Mac and Linux is not in the plans currently.
We can open a ticket for the feature through a feature request in our forums (it will be easier for us to keep track and warn you once done).

I just want to warn you that it might take a little while before we are able to work on it, both on Mac an Linux.

Best regards,

Michel Lambert

I'm currently using 2024.3.18.0 64-bit. Looking at the "Add RDP" session, I don't see the "Application API Key" entry. Am I using the wrong session? How do I "Add BeyondTrust Password Safe" as seen in the documentation? Thanks.

Hello @fanllawf,

You must create a BeyondTrust credential entry to see the Application API Key property.

Then, when you create an RDP entry, you bind it to the BeyondTrust credential entry.

Let us know if that helps.

Hi Erica, thank you for your response. Are the BeyondTrust entries not available in the Free Edition?
