When using multiple screens the sesison properties window opens on the main screen every time RDM is restarted, while RDM opens on the screen it was last opened
Hello Berno82,
Thank you for reaching out to us about this matter.
I want to assure you that what you're experiencing is completely normal. The way Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) has been designed is such that the windows in RDM will always reopen at the last place they were closed.
However, I understand that this may not be the most convenient feature for everyone. That's why I've reached out to our engineering department to gather more information on this topic. Once I have that information, I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks again for contacting us, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet
Hi Patrick
No issue is that it's only the main RDM window that opens on the screen where it's last opened the properties window position is only saved during the current RDM session, when RDM is restarted the position is reset, to main screen/desktop, but after some time in a running session it happens, but I haven't found a pattern for when it does
Hello Berno,
I just wanted to follow up on the email I sent you earlier regarding the team session link. I hope you received it okay. I am eager to understand your case better and see how we can assist you. Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me.
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet
I agree with the OP. You need to force the properties window to open in the center of the RDM Main screen every time.
You right click on a RDP session, select properties, and the properties window opens on a completely different screen. This is not normal behavior. It should open in the middle of the RDM main window, every time! Open where you are working, not keep you guessing where the window is.
I put a ticket in for this as well, although I don't remember what my acct details were so I had to create a new acct. It was never fixed.
Hello @jasonlavin
Thank you for your response.
Could you please confirm which version of RDM you are currently using, as well as the data source in use?
Best regards,
