The database tab for templates has disappeared, the templates for QuickConnect are still appearing in the quick connect menu.
Hello,
What type of datasource are you using and what would be your Remote Desktop Manager version?
Best Regards,
Etienne Lord
Hi Etienne,
I'm using SQLite, and updated to the latest version [2021.1.41.0] yesterday prior to posting.
Was running the most recent version prior to that, I think the issue popped up in one of the last couple of updates.

Hello,
And just to confirm, are you using the Free or the Enterprise edition of Remote Desktop Manager?
Best Regards,
Etienne Lord
Hi Etienne,
Running the "Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise (Single User)" version.
Hello,
I believe there was a bug where Database templates would appear in a SQLite datasource, where it shouldn't be available.
Are you able to see local templates when you head over to File - Templates?
Best Regards,
Etienne Lord
Hi Etienne,
Yes, there's a local templates tab, but none of my templates appear there. (They quickconnect are still visible in the quickconnect dropdown menu, and the session templates are still available for creating new sessions).
The database templates tab has been there since I started using the program about 5 years ago? Has worked great up until now. Is there any reason they can't be stored in the database? It always made more sense that everything should be kept together for backups.
Hello,
The engineering department found the issue and it was fixed internally, it will be available in 2021.2.
Best Regards,
Etienne Lord
Hi Etienne,
Thanks, looking forward to it.
Hi Etienne,
Any updates on a timeframe for this one? It's been challenging to work around.
Regards,
- Step.
Hello,
The fix has been implemented internally, it will be released with version 2021.2 of RDM, which will be available mid-September. There should be a beta available shortly as well, you will be able to give your feedback then.
Thank you for your patience!
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
As a note, we are also planning to have our first beta for 2021.2 next week if all goes well.
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
Thank you.
