What version of RDM are you running?

What type of datasource are you using?

Jeff, I use the latest Free version of RDM.
Same issue for me.
To reproduce the error:

1. Login to your local data source and do a backup to your Devolutions Online Backup.
2. Change your data source to Devolutions Online Drive.
3. Try to restore the backup you did at the 1. from Devolutions Online Backup to your Devolutions Online Drive.
4. You will get the error "Unable to decrypt the data"

It worked before but since some weeks, it stoppped working.

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue on my end using these steps. the backup can be created and restored without issues. For this reason, would it be possible for you to create a portable installation of the latest Beta of RDM Free and see if this issue still occurs with it? The portable instance will use the default configuration of RDM.

To do so, you will need to do the following:

1- Download the .zip file below:
https://cdn.devolutions.net/download/Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManagerFree.Bin.2021.2.7.0.zip
2- Create a new folder on your Desktop
3- Extract the content of the .zip file into the folder created at #2
4- Go in this folder once the .zip file has been extracted and run remotedesktopmanagerfree.exe
5- Enter your current serial
