Hello dear RDM team,

we have several KeePass databases integrated in RDM (directly / without plugin):
- a general KeePass database.
- a personal KeePass database (My Personal Credentials).

Most entries point to the general KeePass database.
For logging into servers, we have user-specific credentials.

The current problem is that when RDM asks for the KeePass credentials, it cannot tell for which KeePass database the credentials are needed.

Therefore, it is my wish that when the credentials are requested, the database name is also displayed.

Could this be implemented? That would be really mega!

Many greetings from Bavaria
Mike

Hmmm, see just in this moment, that there are already a request for this: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/35715/add-vault-information-in-referenced-by

Hello Mike,

I think your request is different from the one in the other thread. In the other thread, it would be to have the information in the "referenced by" section of the dashboard. In your case from what I understand, it would be to have the information of which KeePass database you are using in the password prompt when fetching the credentials from your Keepass.

If I understood right, I'll open a ticket for your request. Just to be sure, are you using Keepass in "direct" mode (as opposed to the "plugin" mode)?

Hello,

We've made the change to add the database name to the password prompt. It will be included in version 2021.1.37.0.
