RDM Enterprise "Register The Application" screen continually reappears
I just installed RDM Enterprise (2020.3.26.0 64-bit) on two fresh virtual machines (Windows 10 Version 1809 build 17763.1697 and Windows Server 2019 Version 1809 build 17763.1697). On each virtual machine I entered my RDM Enterprise registration information with no errors. Then, on each virtual machine if I open up RDM Enterprise and go to About > License Information it shows a valid expiration date (many, many months away). So, I know that the registration was successful.
But, the problem is each time I shut down RDM Enterprise and re-open the application the "Register The Application" windows pops up again and it is empty or pops up showing my registration information. In either case, the screen pops up each and every time I start the RDM Enterprise application. If I cancel it and close it and I go to the About page, the License Information section shows a valid expiration date still.
How can I get this "Register The Application" page to stop popping up?
Hello,
I suspect a wrong configuration file on your VM.
Could you execute the steps below:
This will create you a new configuration folder for RDM. Are you now able to enter your license properly?

Jeff,
Thank you for your reply, but I did not have to do the steps you laid out.
Today, I powered on the Windows 10 virtual machine that was giving me this issue and when I logged into RDM Enterprise the first time it had no license information for me so I went ahead and entered my RDM Enterprise license (again). It accepted it just fine.
Then, I closed RDM and then re-opened it. This time it kept my license information and the "Register The Application" window DID NOT pop up again.
Then, I closed RDM and shut down and restarted the virtual machine. Once logged in, I started RDM and my license information was still there and the "Register The Application" window DID NOT pop up again.
So, at this time the issue seems to have disappeared. I hope it doesn't happen any longer.
Thank you for your assistance.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. Glad that is now working as expected.

Jeff,
I just tried testing the Windows Server 2016 virtual machine I was having issues with. The same problem exists on that virtual machine. So, I tried the procedures you laid out. They did not work. In fact, on the Windows Server 2016 virtual machine the only thing that exists in the %localappdata%\Devolutions folder is an empty "install" directory, there is no RemoteDesktopManager folder at all.
This virtual machine still continually asks for my RDM Enterprise license an continually has the "Register The Application" pop up window.
Any suggestions?
Jeff,
One more thing, on the Windows 10 virtual machine, the %localappdata%\Devolutions folder existed with the RemoteDesktopManager folder within it.
Both virtual machines were using the same RDM Enterprise installation file.
Hello,
Could you go in File -> Options -> Advanced, at the bottom, you should see a blue hyperlink.
This link will bring you to the configuration file (RemoteDesktopManager.cfg).
What the link looks like?
Maybe you could post a screenshot?
Best regards,
