Challenges with RDP Sessions and Pressing Enter

Challenges with RDP Sessions and Pressing Enter

avatar

Hello,

Just a niggle I am having with pressing enter and it opening credentials objects.

When using an RDP session within RDM. I will often right click a credentials entry to grab the username and/or password.

After copying the credentials I will click back into the RDP window. I will paste the credential and press enter. The problem is within RDM I am still highlighting the credential object - so when I press enter it opens the credential object and shows me a new tab in RDM.

Are there settings with regards to active window which would fix this?

Hello,

Just to make sure I understand, you past the username/password then press Enter to login, but since RDM still has the focus on the Credential entry in the connection list, it launches the credential object instead of login in, correct?

Yes this is correct.

So I will copy the password from RDM. I will then click back into the RDP session and actively use the session for some time. It's not until I hit the enter key will RDM then open the credential entry.

I believe the RDM object is actually a 'website' and not a credential entry. The object contains the username, password and website so that the Chrome RDM extension receives those credentials also.

Hello,

If you head over to File - Options - User Interface - Tree View and uncheck both these options, do you still encounter the issue?

I've checked these settings and they are already enabled.

Hello,

Could you disable these options?
