Connect to local host

I think I will need more details on what it is you want to do exactly. RDM supports SSH Shell, SSH Tunnel and RDP sessions which should all allow you to do what you've mentioned above. I'm not so sure about what you mean by "bring up the BASH terminal for my local machine" though.

I want to have my local Mac terminal in the left pane, and my remote linux in the right pane. I've tried a few different connection types; so, basically I just want to be able to get a console of my local machine. Sorry, I know I'm just missing something.

I think I understand what you want, you would like to open a local terminal in RDM.

At the moment, outside of connecting an SSH Shell session to localhost, this is not possible.

We've talked about it at some point, but it never got to be in the TODO list.

any initiative to add the local terminal functionality? I recently moved to remote desktop and as a frequently used session profile this is important
