Create session to local MAC OS shell

Create session to local MAC OS shell

avatar

Dear Support,

Thanks for your time to review my question,

just for a quick question, may I know how to create a session to open a local shell?

just like secure CRT session protocol "Local Shell", the use is that I believe that IT guys might need to telnet/ssh to different servers/routers or switches.

and also in some circumstances, hard to create in the left panel one by one, so I am always open a terminal to local shell in MAC OS, just similar to Windows open a power shell in local, or Linux open a terminal BASH shell in local, so that I can ssh/telnet to different equipments by one session simply.

I have search posts, not get the answer yet, please help to take a look on this issue,

thank you very much!

Stanley

Hi,

Outside of enabling "Remote Login" on your Mac and connecting with SSH Shell to localhost, we do not support a purely local shell (like Terminal.app) in RDM Mac.

It's something we talked about in the past, but it never got much traction.

I've been looking / hoping for this feature as well, so I hope that it can be implemented in an upcoming release.

Hi,

RDM and RDM Free 2022.2.11.0 are now available with the Local Shell feature. An embedded Local Shell can now be opened with the Tools -> Terminal item:
