I've created a template for RDP connections via a CyberArk host. The $Quick_Connect$ variable is used as part of the alternate shell rather than as the host, the host is static.
However when connecting it's still using the quick connect as the host. Anyone have any ideas on what I've done wrong?

Hello,
I tested in my environment and I'm experiencing similar issues...
On my side, I have set a template (RDP) with my CyberarkPSM as the Host and the variable in the /a as you did.
The connection get me to the right host (and works, before my endpoint allows the account to logon), but bypasses the PSM (so no recording is launched).
Since the template is intended to populate the host, that would explain the behavior. I'll see with the engineering team if it's possible to implement what you're looking for,
The best way to achieve something that looks like what you're trying to do, is :
It worked very well on my side.
Let me know if it works for you and if it's a valid solution.

Hi Alex, thanks for the assistance. Any chance you could share a screenshot of the setup? I'm not entirely following.
Hello,
Sure No problem!
To add the PSM Entries :
Here you will want to create the PSM Server
Your PSM Server entry should look a little bit like this :
And the you create a new PSM Connection Template (File -> Template (database) and add)
It should look like this, make sure you select the PSM Server created beforehand.
This new template should now appear in the quick connect entry type selection dropdown:
Let me know if you need more assistance!

Perfect, thanks for those. I now realise I'd disabled the "CyberArk PSM Connection" and "CyberArk PSM Server" session types at some point in the past (before we had CyberArk).
Works perfectly now.
Thanks again.
Hello,
Thanks for the feedback!
Glad it works as you expect.
