Hi,
All of a sudden my web entries whice are set to embedded and use the Chrome or Firefox engine stopped working. No difference betwee HTTP or HTTPS entries. It take a while to eventually show an empty tab. I'm able to close the TAB at that moment but if I open any of these entries again I need to kill the RDM process.
They all work fine when I change these entries to use the IE engine as well as when I run them external with the Chrome or Firefox engine.
My colleagues don't have these issues on their computer but doe have issues on my computer. I already rebooted my computer and even removed and reinstalled RDM.
Even Google doesn't work.
Hello,
Which version of RDM are you using?
Could you also open Windows "Command line" and type winver and give us your Windows version/OS Build please?
Best regards,
David Grandolfo
Hi David,
I'm on Enteprise version 14.1.3.0.

Hi,
Could you also open Windows "Command line" and type winver and give us your Windows version/OS Build please?
You can also try to Disable RunDll32.exe usage under File -- Options -- Types -- Web.

Hi,
I'm afraid I got the same issue as Jasper.
Winver: Version 1809 Build 17763.316
RDM EE 14.1.3.0 64-BIT
Chrome: 72.0.3626.109 (Officiële build) (64-bits)
Thanks in advance for your help!
Maarten
Me too. Just started noticing it today.
If I switch the browser in the session settings to IE, it works fine embedded.
Winver: Version 1809 Build 17763.292
RDM EE 14.1.3.0 64-BIT
Chrome: 72.0.3626.109 (Official build) (64-bit)
Another piece of info -
On a different laptop with Winver = Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.590), Chrome and Firefox work fine in embedded still.
Finally, on the machine with Windows 1809, if I choose to open the session externally, it loads fine in Chrome and Firefox.
I just tried disabling RunDll32.exe usage, and that solved the problem with Chrome for me on Windows Version 1809 Build 17763.292. Chrome embedded now works again.
I have not tested with Firefox again. However, I notice that there is not a similar setting in RDM for Firefox.

@everyone,
To all users running Windows 10 1809, the solution to open Chrome and Firefox in embedded mode, is to disable the Rundll32.exe option in File -> Options -> Types -> Web.
This issue is caused by Windows 10 1809.

Jeff Dagenais
Problem solved!
Same here. No problems anymore after disabling RunDLL32.exe. Chrome and Firefox embedded works like a charm again.
This has annoyed me for weeks. Thank you!
