I have recently updated to version 8.1 of RDM and it's freezing then crashing on me on Windows 8.
It seems to only do so when the laptop goes off-line from sleep mode. If I have any open sessions (Usually only RDP) they don't reconnect and I end up having to force quit RDM. Let me know if there is any info I can get you.

What data source are you using (XML, SQL Server...)?

I've seen a similar issue using other software (Google Chrome for example) where if I hit refresh prior to my network connection being re-established it will hang for some time. Once the network connection becomes available the app eventually responds.
Does it help (change anything) if you wait for the network connection to be re-established prior to using RDM? Does it still freeze? Does it freeze on its own without user interaction (background refresh)? Does it freeze every time you wake your PC?

Just went to lunch and am experiencing the same thing. I do see the "Unable to retrieve data source informations from DropBox. I tried to click on "Retry" but it's still saying Not Responding. Waiting for the network connection does not change the behavior.

It's not simple to reproduce but I will do more tests with sleep and DropBox. I'll come back to you asap.
