Hi,
We use RDMS 11.1 and it is installed in a terminal server where multiple users login and authenticate using AD. We use a MYSQL DB and we migrate the DB to a new server. I have set the new data source and it works fine but the new data-source apples to the only account where i made the change.
I need the change to effect all users.
Please let me know a way to do this.

Hello,
The datasource definition is in each users profile, every user must change their config.
As per https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/installation_terminalservices.htm, you must also update the default.cfg file to prepare for new users, but for the existing one you have two choices.
What is key is never to redistribute a data source that contains credentials, are you using integrated security? If not, simply create a new data source that points to the proper database but that does not contain credentials.

Maurice
Hi,
Thank you for the support. I have couple of questions on this though.
If I create a new default.cfg and if say a user selects it do he loos his private password vault too?
Can i edit the default.cfg file in any way to set the new data source?

Hello,
The private vault is in the DB, so no worries there.
You can edit the default.cfg, but the data sources are encrypted. You cannot see what you are copying, neither can you see what you are overwriting. But in the case where you have only one data source, you can simply overwrite the EncryptedDataSources section.

Hi Maurice,
Thank you. updating the default.cfg option works for our TS environment.

Hi,
After changing the default.cfg file the data source change applied to some users. But not for all. How can this be possible.
Do i have to clear cash or something?
And also I have 3 TS Servers. What i did was config the data source from one TS and export the file and replace it with all three servers default.cfg file.
