Keep running into an issue with RDM on my work laptop. SQL database runs on a server in the home office. Work laptop travels with me so it doesn't always have a connection to the SQL database. RDM is configured to start in offline mode but half the time I open the application the offline file doesn't work. The Navigation pane is empty except for a SQL header where my connections usually show up. No reason I can determine why the offline file doesn't work half the time. I have to manually connect to VPN, then go online and everything works, but the whole point of the offline file is that I shouldn't have to go online to see my connections...
Hello Jeff,
As a first step could you try to delete your Offline.db, perhaps the file is corrupt or have some issue with. Your Offline.db could be found followingthat help.

I've done something similar to this numerous times and the problem continues to come back. I do not have an 'offline.db' file, I have 'offline.mcdf2' and roughly 40 *.off files named with the previous days date (when the issue occurs).
I have completely deleted C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager folder and setup the application again. I have tried restoring a previous RemoteDesktopManager.cfg file and I have tried rebuilding settings manually from scratch but the problem keeps coming back.
Hi,
We will change the type of Offline Engine that your RDM is using. Go in Files --> Options --> Advanced and change the "Offline engine" to MCDF if your offline problem is still present could you test it again with the SQLLite engine.
Best Regards,
David Grandolfo
I will test this out and let you know, thanks!
The issue returned today using MCDF. This has been the longest time to run the app without seeing the issue over the last few months. I have switched to Sqlite offline engine to test. I will report if this fails again as well.
Thanks, please let me know if the problem is still there in SQL Lite.

Failed again today using SQLite engine. Navigation pane just has a SQL header and nothing underneath it.
Based off the timing of today's issue, I believe this was caused by an expiration of the offline cache (7 days). I have not gone online with the SQL server over the last week. I will continue testing SQLite engine with the cache settings increased and I will make sure to go online before another expiration of the offline files.
Jeff,
Did you get a message stating that the offline had expired? If not you should have and we will investigate.
Best regards,
Stéfane Lavergne
No, there was nothing that mentioned the offline had expired. Application starts normally but Navigation Pane doesn't have any connections.
Thanks we will investigate.
