8.1.0.0 - Application freeze related to DropBox

This was a problem I reported in the beta that ended up making it into the final release.

I am using a DropBox datasource, and whenever my connection is interrupted (or seemingly at other random times), I get the error "Unable to retrieve datasource informations from DropBox" and the application freezes.

No matter what is clicked (Retry or Cancel), the messagebox remains open and frozen, and the only way to resolve it is to end the RDM process and restart it from scratch.

Hi,
Some issues regarding DropBrox datasource have been fixed and we thought that your issue was one of them.
We will investigate for the freezing problem and sorry for any inconvenient.

I am seeing a similar issue. I will have left RDM 8.1 running overnight on my desktop at work. (No sleep mode, or anything like that). RDM will have a message in the morning that says "Unable to retrieve datasource informations from DropBox". Clicking anything at this point (Retry, Cancel, X) will lock up RDM.

In 8.0 I would see a similar behavior but it would give me the option to Work Offline. When I clicked that I could immediately go to the menu and select Go Online and everything would be fine.

I am running RDM 8.1 on Windows 8 Enterprise

I have the "Unable to retrieve datasource informations from DropBox" issue as well.

BTW - I love being able to keep my datasource in Dropbox! Thanks for this feature!

Hi,
I experienced that same problem myself and each time that it occured the DropBox service was unavailable.
For those who encounter that problem could you please check at the same time if it is possible to launch your DropBox website?
It would very useful for us to know that. It would means that DropBox is under maintenance on a regulary basis.
