Is there any way to save the renamed tabs, or write a macro to set them when a session opens?
Hello,
I guess you are using the "Rename tab" action, but had you seen that you can set it in the sessions as well? This way is persistent.
Properties- User Interface, Tab page title.
Best regards,
Maurice
Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted.
Renaming tab titles persistently does NOT work when using "Microsoft Hyper-V Dashboard" sessions. Even though I may rename the tab title within the User Interface -> Tab page title to "HV03-VMs" - RDM will always show "Virtual Machines - %SESSION NAME%". This causes a much too long tab title.
I try and be very organized and descriptive with my folders and sessions - but I find I'm constantly having to change session names and tab titles to keep the tab bar as short as possible. Even by using tab groups, the default tab names for the Dashboard can quickly fill up the tab bar if one has many hyper-v host dashboards open.
@ghires01,
What version of RDM are you running?
Is it possible to post some screenshots or a small video of the issue?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Jeff:
I sent you a private message with a link to a small video of the issue.
Thanks!
@ghires01,
Thank you very much for your video!
I have been able to reproduce your issue. A ticket has been opened to our engineering department regading this.
The ticket number is RDMW-3636.

Hello,
The issue with Hyper-V dashboard sessions has been fixed. It should be available in the next beta version.
