hi,
i set my credentials in the tool section (admin of domain of my server) , but i have always the message "unable to access inventory report" and after "error gettting wmi scope".
If i check "specify at execution", any windows appear for entry credential , it's normal ?
Why ???
best regards
Vincent
You need to have WMI access enabled. This could help you troubleshooting:

David,
i teste access fior wmi , all it's ok with specific credentials, but when i set credentials in :
"In the Tools section of your session, please enter the appropriate username, password and domain to get the inventory." like wrote Jean-François Dagenais, it's KO
it's an issue of this version ?
best regards
Vincent
I don't think so but to be sure you could try to create 1 Inventory entry (Add New Entry -> Session->Other).
You will be able to specify the credential directly.

i create a new entry and after specify credential , it's always KO
If i check option "specify at execution" , nothing , it's KO too
It's good just if the srver is in the same Domain that my computer.
it's an issue
Best regards
Could you verify this workaround with the RemoteEvent?
https://forum.devolutions.net/topic24451-load-from-inventory-not-working-on-some-hosts.aspx
David Hervieux
i don't find "remote event" ???
but if i launch "inventory report" from macros/script s/tools , the report is full, but the inventory is always KO
Vincent
What is KO?
David Hervieux
the inventory with the button "load from inventory" is always KO
Vincent
Hello,
The Remote Event is located in the Dashboard under the Remote Management tab

Could you post a print screen of the error message you get?
David Hervieux
error message are :
the message "unable to access inventory report" and after "error gettting wmi scope".
Could you open the profiler window and see what you get. Help-> Profiler
Go in the Debug Only section and set the Level to 1
Retry the Load from Inventory
David Hervieux

hi,
i 'm testing more situations:
1: if credentials is "inherited" in " GENERAL"
then in " debug only" there is no user
2: if credentials is set in " GENERAL" with the same in "TOOLS"
then in "debug only" there is this user and only this user
3: if credentials is set in "GENERAL" with another credentials in "TOOLS"
then in "debug only" there is the user of "GENREAL" never the "TOOLS" credentials
4: if credentials is set "inherited" in "GENERAL"
then in " debug only" there is no user
are you ok ?
Thanks
Hello Vincent,
We will investigate this as soon as possible, I'll keep you updated on the subject.

Hello,
There was an issue with the inheritance, so this will be fixed in the next version of RDM.
Just a clarification on which credentials should be used: If you use the "load from inventory" button, it will use the entry's credentials, not the tools. If you use the batch action (Right click > Edit > batch edit > batch action > load from inventory), it will use the tools credentials.
We would like to make the "load from inventory" button work with the tools as well but it's a little tricky for now.

Hubert Mireault
hi,
i'm agree with your clarification.
best regards
Vincent
hI,
you wrote :
"There was an issue with the inheritance, so this will be fixed in the next version of RDM." this version is 11.0.24.0 ???
Vincent
It should be available in version 11.0.24.0, yes, which also includes the fix with the "site" field from the other thread you made.

hi,
now it's ok when :
1 -If i use the "load from inventory" button, it will use the entry's credentials, not the tools.
2- if i use the batch action (Right click > Edit > batch edit > batch action > load from inventory), it will use the tools credentials.
We would like to make the "load from inventory" button work with the tools , it's always KO .
Thanks
Vincent
