Credential Storage questions. Website auto-logon?

Hi,

We use RDM Enterprise for our RDP sessions and want to look into expanding our use to include storing passwords for website, domain accounts, etc. Are there any tutorials that go into how we configure that and get that setup?

Some things we will store are just domain accounts that simply have a username and password. I assume we'd just use the "Username/Password" option for that.

Other things we'd like to do is store a website username and password and be able to click something to have the browser launch the site and log in automatically using the stored credentials. Ideally this would hide the password so users wouldn't be able to see or copy them or anything so it'd be totally hidden.

Thanks.

Hello,

Data - Accounts : used to SHARE credentials, passwords accessible to anybody that has the view permission
Credentials - Username / Passord : used to be linked from other connections, passwords NOT accessible

For web sites, create a Web (http/https) session, choose credential repository, then link to the credential entry.

For your domain accounts, it depends on if you want them SHARED or not, use the same strategy.

Is there any way to create a Folder within the Credentials section? We want to organize out Domain credentials based on the team that uses them. When I try to create a Group it just moves the group up under the Sessions section.

Properties of the folders (if you use a recent enough version)

Advanced, miscanelleous, scope : set to credentials

Well that's sure annoying. ;)

I created a folder and then changed it to Credentials (instead of Default) and it moved down to credentials. I then right clicked that folder to make a new folder and just gave it a name. It then put that folder and made a new one with the upper level folder name up in the Sessions area.

It would be much better if I right clicked to create a folder down in the Credentials area that it would just created it down there by default.
