Gateway Settings

avatar

Hi,

I've been using a feature within the standard windows RDP protocol. I was just wondering if this was a feature within RDM?

As per the image. Certain servers I frequent require me to enter gateway details to connect.
- the gateway is typical 'mail.clientname.com.au'

Yes you can specify the Gateway in the RDP Connection tab page. You can also create one Gateway and reuse it on multiple machines.

Hello,

I hate to reopen an old thread but I can't find this section for the life of me. I'm trying to select multiple servers and set the User Specific gateway settings to use my credentials. I didn't have a problem with this on the Windows version as I right clicked the servers and batch edited the User Specific Settings. I saw Gateway Settings under the "Settings" tab in Windows however I've switched to a Mac and I don't see it on the Mac version. I am using Enterprise 3.5.2.0. Please help.

Thanks,

Hi Devin,

We will add the missing User specific settings as soon as we can in the Mac version.

Sorry about the inconvenience

Hi Benoît,

Thank you for the information. At the risk of sounding a bit needy, is there a time frame for this to be done? I ask because my job relies on remote sessions with 100s of servers for almost everything we do (Rackspace Exchange Engineer). Depending on the time frame I get from you guys I will have to re-image my computer to Windows so I can do my work or I will just wait for the fix to be released and use Microsoft Remote Desktop in the meantime.

Thank in Advance!

Hi Devin,

I can't give you a time estimate but we are trying to fit this in the next release.
We don't have a strict release schedule and the last one was April 13th.

I hope it's enough information for you to make your decision.

Hi Benoît,

Thank you for giving me an idea of your update schedule. I was just wondering if there has been any progress on adding this function. I don't mean to sound pushy but this is an important feature that is missing and I require it to be available in the Mac version in order to maintain my workflow. Keeping up with a Windows VM and switching back and forth between the two operating systems on my Mac is not ideal. Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Thank you for that information. I ran an update check and the software found me version, 3.5.2, to be the latest ( http://screencast.com/t/7ZQb6UkN8l ). I went ahead and checked anyway and I still don't seem to have the ability to manage these settings on a per user basis. Can you please advise on how to obtain version 3.5.3.0? Thank you so much for your help so far, I greatly appreciate it.

Hi Devin,

I'll look into the Auto-update and see why it's not seeing the 3.5.3.0 version.
In the meantime, you can download it directly from the website: DownloadDmg v3.5.3.0

Hi Devin,

May I ask you in what part of the world you are trying to check for update?
We are using Microsoft CDN and maybe there is a problem on a specific part of the world.

Thank you
