How can I function under FIPS compliance?

How can I function under FIPS compliance?

avatar

Hi. I have been using RDM for a year or so and am happy with the product. I just renewed support for another 3 years. Coincidentlally we are entering a new market segment and it requires enforcing some policies en mass. Yes, even my workstations. One of the more frustrating ones is "Enforce FIPS compliance." I have seen your message about how AES/Rijndael is stronger than the FIPS compliance AES version and that I should disable the FIPS compliance requirement. Unfortunately this is not possible. Is there a way that I can configure my client to use the lesser FIPS compliant algorythm? I store my config in a MS SQL database. If I switch to another flavor of data source would you expect me to have better luck?
I really want to continue to use the product.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Dave
