Confused about web-based auto login options

Confused about web-based auto login options

avatar

I'm trying to autologin to a website (specifically, OpenFiler admin portal), and I've tried a number of different options all with different results.

One thing, I'm confused about is the distinction between "Credentials" on the Connection tab (Session specific, Credential Repository, and Embedded credential entry) vs. the Login tab below that next to the Web Browser tab.

1) Credentials=Session specific:
I assume this is specifying to use the login tab. When I use this an specify Auto login, and select embedded display, it fills in the username and password, but I have to manually hit the login button to go in. If I choose external display, IE opens and LastPass does the auto login for me all the way in.
A) what would it take to enable LastPass AddOn in the embedded IE display. Seem that would be best (particularly as a LastPass user)
B) with LastPass effectively disabled in the embedded IE session, what's it take to get in without pressing the login button?

2) Credentials=Credential repository (LastPass)
I assume with this selection, the Login tab below is irrelevant? When I use this, I get a blue Devolution web page prompting me for a password. I don't understand this page at all, and what it has to do with LastPass.

3) Credentials=Embedded credential entry
I'm not sure if this overrides or has anything to do with the Login tab below. This doesn't appear to behave in different than session specific (above)

Any clarity about this would be much appreciated.

Hi,
When you use the credential repository, you use an external credential (LastPass, KeePass...) instead of the configured one. When you use the embedded credentials, it's similar but the credential are not shared by any other sessions.

I think that what confuse you is the fact the our LastPass integration is not great (like I explained in the previous topic). If you use instead a pre configured session (default type), you will really the power of the credential link.

I hope this help you.
