Jump back with long expanded list

avatar

Hi,

Wanted to report an annoying bug I have occurring in every day use.

Considering the following scenario:
You have expanded a lot of groups in your session list and have the session list auto-hide on double clicking a session.

When you have opened a session and the selected session is somewhere in the lower end of the session list and you want to expand another group in the top part of the session list (which you had to scroll to, to see the group in the first place), the group is expanded but the scroll bar jumps down to the selected session in the lower part of the session list.
Got it?

Well this is very annoying. Could you fix it?

Cheers!

Just downloaded the latest 6.1.3, I had 6.1.0. There seems to be something changed... Icons look different. Problem also does not seem to be there any more.

Cheers!

Good, let me know, our tree view now looks more like Windows Explorer

David,

This problem still exists in the new version.
Try to open a big tree with lots of folders and open a session somewhere in the lower part of the tree. Then scroll up and expand a subfolder somewhere in the top part. It jumps down every time you do that.

Cheers!

Hi,
Sorry it on my list, but I haven't got the time to reproduce it.

Hi,
I tried to reproduce but I'm unable to do so, can you try to send a word file with some printscreen and some steps?

The problem is that it is not really printscreenable. It just happends... When I print screen it than you would not see the problem occurring.

Try to open a big tree with lots of folders and expand them. Do this until you have to scroll up and down. Then open a session somewhere in the lower part of the tree, by double clicking the session. Then scroll upwards in the tree and expand a subfolder somewhere in the top part. There you should see it jumping down every time you do that.

Cheers!

Hi,
I understand, but a printscreen might help find a clue. Just a print screen of the main windows after the problem

I have attached a PDF.

Ok,
Good news, I finally reproduce the problem but I haven't found the solution. I'm working on it.

Found the bug, don't click on the arrow to open the group. double click on the name instead.

It seems that the component does not select the node when we click on the arrow and the application focus la selected node.

Yep, works. Seems to be resolved.
Could you also post a binary update?

Cheers!

Thank you for your patience, it was hard to reproduce because it was only happening when we clicked the arrow:
