Is there any update to this? I'm having the same issue - whenever I press ESC in ssh shell it goes out of full screen. Pretty annoying inside of vim :D

I found the ctrl+esc combination worked around this issue if your waiting for the next release for it to be fixed

The ESC key issue should be resolved. Could you try it and confirm?
